Clannad: Anime vs Visual Novel

    I know it is quite difficult to adapt a visual novel into an anime series especially ones with multiple endings which must be completed to unlock the true ending. What I would like to know is how do you feel about KyoAni's adaptation of this VN?

    I personally feel they did a great job of making a well flowing story whilst staying true to the VN.

    Hmmmm... well I saw the anime and know a little of the VN. I could be wrong but the anime only encompasses only one "path" of the VN? If that is the case it would be interesting to see an anime based on another "path" ;)

    I might be a bit biased because I watched the anime first, but I thought the anime did an amazing job at following the visual novel and bringing in elements that you just couldn't experience in the VN. They stayed true to the Nagisa route while just barely nicking each other route.

    The anime also left out Kappei, which left me very happy because he was one of the most selfish idiots in the entire VN, even if he didn't look like it.
