While waiting for the new One piece eps to come out, i thought i'd give one of the other long-ass animes a try. I hate DragonBall (love the Abridged tho XD) and Naruto (shippuden's all-right...). So it comes to these two, which one should i try out?

Both. If you skip the fillers in Bleach it makes the show so much more bearable. There's some filler in FT but it honestly wasn't terrible.

I guess those 2 can't be bad if our staff members use avatar pics for them.
I can see what mean with DB. I knew things would drag on, but I took that as more story. But when it came to the fight against Frieza on Namek, that just got tiresome. Waiting 10 episodes for Goku to finally show up, and just Goku v Frieza still took 5 to 10 episodes. I guess DB's filler episodes are the ones that have everyone waiting for Goku, or just fighting someone who takes forever to die.

I'm a bigger fan of Bleach. I haven't gotten into the Fairy Tale yet. I probably will.

Hmm tough choice, but why limit yourself to long running anime instead of a variety of smaller ones?
But back to the choices, honestly speaking I enjoyed FT but that was the original series. Once it returned as FT 2014 I hated almost everything about it from that point onwards, not even the parts that S1 got you hyped for interested me anymore. I just about hate every character, the villains don't interest me anymore, the fan service is even more noticeable, and the animation changed for the worse.
As for Bleach I've seen about 229 of the 366 eps, and I've not once enjoyed it above a rating of 6. I mostly watched it while I was playing Pokemon [which I've grown very tired of now too]. I dislike most of the main cast and I'm in no real hurry to finish it unless it gets another season announcement some time in the future.

Basically I can't decide between something I use to like but now hate or something that I never got into in the first place.

Oh no I've watched and completed at least 60 small (12 or 24 bit series) anime's! I just love One Piece and thought i'd give the others a shot.

If you are referring Dragonball as DragonballZ I can agree with you. If not Dragonball however I felt had a better overall character depth, driven story, and character development and progression. So if you haven't seen Dragonball you can give it a try. Also if you do watch it it'll only further inform you of the history that lead up to what Dragonball Z is. Now pertaining to Bleach I 100% agree with Spor. Skip the filler because it's all for the most part sheer garbage. As of right now the manga is still progressing, however the anime has ceased leaving it's self at I think 366 episodes. So if your looking for a complete show this isn't it. The same also holds true to Fairy Tail since the anime is now on hold.

Other long running shows I would suggest to you though would be Gintama which is ending. The longest which I rarely get tired of is Case Closed aka Detective Conan. But you really got to appreciate mysteries, crimes, murder, and ect to enjoy it I feel. Still you'll have a ton to watch as there are currently over 800+ episodes and soon to be 20 movies. Even with that in mind it's just not going to be for everybody. If you like cardgames at all you always have Yu-gi-oh with it's 200+ episodes. Just stay away from the newer generation of it though. For the sports lovers you can attempt Prince of Tennis which is very well done. Great characters and great depiction of the sport as a whole. It may leave you with the urge to go grab a racket. And lastly comes a old tall tail classic which you may have seen already, Inuyasha. Wait I nearly forgot. Nothing is complete with out the addition of Hunter x Hunter. It's finally returning after being on hiatus for so long and I really hope it gets finished this time around.

Well those are for the most part the most note worthy long series I can think of that you can attempt and take on. Still if they don't float your boat go along with what Super said. Indulge in a lot of short series or semi long ones around 50 to 100 episode range. You should be able to find a lot that span within the semi-long range.
