A livestream presentation for the BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! smartphone game announced on Monday that the members of the BanG Dream! band Pastel*Palettes will star in an anime titled Pastel Life. The livestream previewed footage from the anime, which will follow the daily lives of the band members.

The bands members include bassist Chisato Shirasagi (voiced by Sumire Uesaka), drummer Maya Yamato (Ikumi Nakagami), vocalist Aya Maruyama (Ami Maeshima), keyboardist Eve Wakamiya (Sawako Hata), and guitarist Hina Hikawa (Ari Ozawa).

The 13-episode BanG Dream! television anime premiered in January 2017, and Anime Network Online and Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan.

Sentai Filmworks will release the anime with English subtitles on home video on June 19, and it describes the story:

When she was a child, Kasumi Toyama (played by Poppin' Party's lead singer, Aimi) felt a heart-pounding thrill every time she gazed at the stars, and she's been looking without success for something that could inspire the same feeling ever since. One day, she comes across a star-shaped guitar in a rundown pawnshop and, for the first time, discovers the thrill she's been searching for. Kasumi becomes determined to form an all-girl band, and her search leads her to four like-minded souls: Saya, Arisa, Rimi, and Tae (all brought to life by the members of Poppin' Party). Does this band have what it takes to make their dreams of stardom come true?

Bushiroad launched the BanG Dream! multimedia project in January 2015, and the company formed the Poppin' Party band for the project in February 2015. The project's other bands include Happy World!, Pastel*Palettes, Afterglow, and Roselia. The band members consist of voice actresses who portray the characters in the story, and they play the same instruments as their characters.

The BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! smartphone game launched in Japan in March 2017, and an English version launched this month.

thanks for pointing this out. @Supernatural-Knight and @Shellbell you guys excited for this?

i for one is not that excited but im happy to hear Ikumi Nakagami (first hear of her as yukari from GuP) again. im not happy because i wanted after glow or roselia to be animated first heck even both of them at the same time as these group clashes with each other whenever they get the chance.

oh by the way @Sir-Maddy, we started playing the english version of the game, just want to invite you play with us.

@Noobs I already saw this news on MAL yesterday, I was going to bring it up but now I don't have to. I must admit this could be good. This group is the one filled with celebrities. So if it is how they met and dealing with their issues it could become fun.
Or it could just be entirely light and fluffy which sounds little off putting. Oh speaking of off putting, "BUSHIDO". How many time will we hear this word?

Will watch if you do. And excellent idea, @Sir-Maddy you should join us in playing the rhythm game.

What’s kinda wired is that I’m not really interested in the anime~!
    I haven’t even seen the anime,yet I love the game~?
I guess I should watch it so I have something to talk about with my friends~!
Though I have seen the news about it on Instagram as my friends told me~!

Just going to be honest here, I’m not very good at creating long messages.

You're fine at it in PM though, just takes time to get use to people here is all.
But about the anime, I wouldn't exactly say it is a must watch. Although it is a little amusing that you're so addicted to the rhythm game without being a fan of the franchise already. But I guess I wasn't exactly a fan either.

@Noobs I may just be hoping to hear the beautiful cover of Secret Base in the anime. We can hope can't we.

Loser, all the cool kids play Bandori and rhythm games in general. Never heard of Magia before so no thanks.

It's that spin-off Madoka mobile game. It's also a very rare case of Mai Nakahara playing worst girl.
