Bandai Namco Entertainment America began streaming the first full trailer for its upcoming action RPG Code Vein with English subtitles as of today. The video introduces the premise and setting for the game.

The video description includes an updated summary for the game:
In the not too distant future, a mysterious disaster has brought a collapse to the world as we know it. Towering skyscrapers, once symbols of prosperity, are now lifeless graves of humanity's past pierced by the Thorns of Judgment. At the center of the destruction lies a hidden society of Revenants called Vein. This final stronghold is where the remaining few fight for their survival, blessed with Gifts of power in exchange for their memories and a thirst for blood. Give into the bloodlust and risk becoming one of the Lost, fiendish ghouls devoid of any trace of remaining humanity.

The game is slated for release in 2018. Bandai Namco Entertainment has not yet announced platforms. German YouTube account for Sony's PlayStation consoles listed the game for PlayStation 4 in a video that has since been removed, so for you PlayStation owners & gamer's keep those fingers crossed.

The company initially promoted the project using the hashtag #PrepareToDine, and streamed a teaser video late last month.

Code Vein is developed by the same team behind God Eater and is being published by Bandai Namco the same powerhouse who brought you the smash hit Dark Souls games.
