    I'm not entirely sure where to put this, I'm new to the site, but I was looking for suggestions on good shows to watch. I'm getting a little bored watching Attack on Titan and SAO on repeat, I need more flavor but I don't have the expertise to pick something out. I was looking for something similar to the feel of Attack on Titan, something heavy handed that blurs the line between right and wrong. something that doesn't take anything lightly, I wan't it to be serious almost all the time, a little satire sprinkled in here and there is fine but I don't want a comedy. Any suggestion would be helpful. Thank you in advance.

    @NeoScival firstly welcome to the site, I hope you enjoy your stay here.

    Now about anime, hmm. If you're new to this site then that means dubbed anime only right? That limits me a bit but we must all start somewhere. A good show that most people watch when getting into anime that seems to fit your description of a serious show would be Death Note. It definitely blurs the line of right and wrong and while there is comedic moments it is by no definition a comedy.
    If you're up for a longer show Monster is a great one, as long as you're patient with it. You could even try Psycho Pass as that had a very serious atmosphere.

    Lastly I will move your thread to the General Anime section, just for future reference.

    @NeoScival welcome to JDO. We do hope you enjoy your stay.

    Now jumping into shows that seem to fit your description I would like to suggest a few. Wolf's Rain is rather serious and a old classic among fans. Another old classic is Baccano a personal favorite of mine. It does sport some comedy and you actually need to put in a bit of effort to follow the plot and time skips. With that said it may not be for you. Yet another older series that comes to my mind is Ergo Proxy, yet it wasn't something I was going to refer. Still it's set in a bleak post apocalyptic world where people live inside a domed city due to the ravaged world outside. You also have Code Geass which is kinda like Death Note in some regards, however it's more comical and does sport a lot of fan service. And finally i'll end my suggestions with Noir which is about two female assassins traveling the world accepting assignments to kill various culprits, and at the same time, having deadly traps set against them. I do hope you find our suggestions to your liking.

    It doesn't have to be dubbed, subbed is fine. If it was dubbed I would end up watching both.

    @NeoScival Welcome here!

    You seem to enjoy combat anime, so may I suggest the Fate Series.

    The Grail war takes place and seven mages fight to obtain it along with their sevants. There are seven servants that all belonged to a different class when they were living (archer, assassin, mage, etc.) and they want the grail to have their wish granted.

    The entire series is available dubbed.

    If you want to start watching it, I would say to wat Fate/Stay Night.

    If you like it, I suggest to watch the different seasons in this order

    Fate Stay Night
    Fate Zero
    Fate stay night: Unlimited Blade works

    The last two are on netflix, you don't have to watch the series in that order .
    (zero is a prequel and unlimited blade work is the original series where but a different route of the visual Novel is followed)

    A lot of people have suggested Death Note and Code Geass, which I wholly agree with with. But also consider Psycho-Pass and Black Lagoon. Which also explore morality and are fairly "heavy-handed" throughout. They certainly explore different aspects of morality beyond just good VS evil, and in different ways than Code Geass and Death Note. But they're excellent series in their own right and can give you something to think about.

    @NeoScival

    I would recommend:
    Ghost in the Shell S.A.C.
    Durarara!!
    Black Lagoon
    Gundam Wing
    Code Geass

    Those are probably the nearest to what you are looking for that I can recommend. Then again, you could always give Deadman Wonderland and Elfen Lied a try as well.

    @NeoScival Deadman Wonderland is all one series. 12 episodes. It was supposed to follow the manga, but I think it ended up being ahead of it so the story changes slightly. (I don't read Manga, but just if you were interested).

    Thank you, all credit for my signature goes to @Kiri who did a wonderful job! ^_^'
