    yeah , the first words I learned were "putang ina mo"
    this guy in my maths class taught me those words when I asked him how to say "how are you" -_-
    thank god I got the meaning clarified before using it in public. That could have led to someone misunderstandings and me getting my ass kicked

    they have different dialects in different parts of phili ?

    ah yes those are good words to start up with. about the spelling, you got them right except for kamusta ka.

    we sure do have lots of dialects, in fact, the three main region of the country (top-luzon, middle-visayas, bottom-mindanao) speaks different languages.
    what they taught you is the national one (so that all of us can understand each other aside from using english xD). if you want to learn some words aside from the "national" language just tell me.
