200 Members Event: Nominations

    Next weekend marks our 200 Members Event. And to celebrate we’re going to have a 6 hour marathon next Saturday. We’ll begin 3 hours earlier than we normally do (12 PM instead of 3 PM). Nominations are going to work a bit differently. So pay attention to the rules.

    1. Anyone can nominate something. There will be no 5 person limit like we normally do.
    2. You must nominate something that fills a 6 hour time slot. If it goes over a bit that’s fine.
    3. You are allowed to nominate anime series, movies or OVAs.
    4. You can nominate multiple things or just one thing.
    5. All of our normal rules still apply while nominating.
    6. I’m still tossed on doing a voting thread. I might just ask people in Skype what they like the most. Or I might pick everything myself. I’ll decide later on.

    You are encouraged to try and pick multiple things. You can pick a 12 episode anime to watch but a few movies instead would be more entertaining. I’ll begin nominations. Please notice the format I’m using to nominate. Please give the name, length and link to MAL.

    The nominations will be called when I wake up tomorrow. This will be your last chance to nominate something if you haven't already.

    Tomorrow I will pick what we're watching. For each person I will take their suggestions and put them in the randomizer. The first item picked by the randomizer will be placed into a list to be watched for the marathon. I'll do that with each person till everyone has one of their suggestions in the list. If the list goes over 6 hours I'll randomize the entire thing and exclude anything after we reach 6 hours of content.

    Alright, I have decided on the stuff we're watching. I used the randomizer to pick one suggestion from each person. Tomorrow I will make a main thread for this and detail our viewing schedule. I will also account for time in between movies for bathroom breaks, resting our eyes from the screen, drinks, snacks and we'll even take a 30 min break or so for lunch. The start of our viewing will begin 3 hours earlier than we normally watch our movies.

    This will run for 465 minutes. Or 7.75 hours I wanted to try and keep it around 6 but meh. We can always leave the channel on auto pilot if everyone leaves by the 6 hour mark.

    I'm probably gonna join for real at the normal time. Maybe sooner but i'm not sure if i can be there yet. If the lunch break is before Ninja Scroll and Ninja Scroll starts around the normal time of Midnight Channel i probably will join at Ninja Scroll. Well probably anyway because i wanna see that one.
