    Vote for one of the greatest anime of all time.

    It's not that great, it's got too many plot holes to be a truly amazing anime. It's like Air in a way that it tried to fit so much story into 13 episodes, and of course the plot crumbled away due to this.
    Don't believe me? Re-watch Angel Beats with your brain turned on and then tell me if you thought everything was explained in a way that you would feel satisfied.
    I'm a fan of Key, but this is one Anime that really needs a re-make.

    Okay now onto voting, I haven't seen Madlax yet however it is on my 'Plan to Watch' list. So I'll just go for Yuri, because she's the one I know.

    I haven't seen Angel Beats but I know what you mean. I've seen a couple anime that had all they needed to be top class anime.... but they only had maybe 13 episodes. They just didn't have enough time and had way too many "Toys" to work with. Too many characters, too many sub plots, and just too many mysteries. Hagure Yuusha is a good example. It had one of the most awesome MCs you will ever find in a harem series and while the rest of the cast aren't anything too special they weren't bad. The set up was interesting and the way powers worked left a lot of possibilities for interesting fights. But they crammed in like 3 or 4 different plots. One about them trying to get used to school life, one about some mysterious organization using the children who return, another about people coming for the demon kings daughter, and I think there was one other but I can't completely remember it. There was also something about his father but that barely gets an explanation. Any one of these could have been interesting but because they tried to cram all of them into just 12 episodes. OF course the fact that they still crammed in a purely fan service episode or two didn't help either.

    So yeah having an empty plot isn't good but having too much plot in too little time is just as bad if not worse.

    Damnit guys! Why'd you have to go and say Angel Beats tries to cram in too much plot? That was one of the main reasons I hated Deadman Wonderland. Now I'm not gonna be able to watch Angel Beats properly :(

    Deadman Wonderland actually fit in enough for what it had.
    There will be another season most likely, probably when the manga ends.
    Deadman Wonderland's anime plot stopped when the anime stopped, so yeah.
    At least we can look forward to another season of that.

    I read the manga, and it fit enough into it for what it had at the time.

    Have to side with Mafiacow on this one.  I mean they even cut characters out in order to streamline it, but the whole initial arcs still felt rushed.

    Have to side with Mafiacow on this one. I mean they even cut characters out in order to streamline it, but the whole initial arcs still felt rushed.


    Peacock was pretty much the only major-esque one that was cut out.
    21 chapters or so were used in the anime.
    Then again, it did have close to 30 pages for each chapter, but eh. I didn't feel like it was that rushed at all, it felt good enough.

    I miss Condor with him not being in it.  But that's because he's my favorite...

    Yeah, and these aren't Bleach pages either.  There tends to be a lot going on...

    Possibility to have DW 2nd season is like 10%. In Japan it didn't receive much popularity, meaning it doesn't bring a lot of money. Therefore, you shouldn't get high hopes about 2nd season.
