As well as the issue of marriage equality, it's so infuriating how they keep saying "but what if this leads to POLYAMORY" as if it's the only thing that could be "worse". Like wow because consensual loving relationships between more than two people are the coming of the apocalypse.

 

What's truly ridiculous is the allegations of beastiality. "What's next? Allowing people to marry their pets?" I've even heard slippery slope arguments (which in and of themselves are logical fallacies) for pedophilia bring legalized. Because apparently there is no difference in a consenting relationship between adults of the same sex and child molesters and relations with an animal that is incapable of giving consent.

In truth, polygamy should be legal. If multiple people consent to a multi-person relationship, who is anyone to stop them? It's their business, regardless of what anyone thinks on the matter.

I'm glad we've finally legalized same-sex marriage. But we've still got a ways to go in terms of social equality and civil rights for the LGBTQ community.

"They'll just breed gay children" is the argument I have been seeing a lot. Ummm, first, they won't be able to breed together & second, they can adopt the children that straight people produced that don't have parents.

Like what? I get this comment a lot at work and most the time it's either they don't like change it don't know how to work the OS. Most like it after they're shown how to use it and customize it to their needs.

 

I know, right? Besides, sexuality is nature not nurture. It's not a learned trait. My sexuality isn't that of my parents'. And the majority of the population still identify as heterosexual, regardless of their parents' sexuality. There's just no evidence to support that.

And, even if by some strange coincidence kids raised by same-sex couples had a greater chance of identifying as homosexual, or anything other than heterosexual, why does it matter? Who cares as long as they have a roof over their heads and parents that care for them?

It's not that bad. If you already have Windows 8, you won't notice much of a difference.

Just update to 8.1 and then click the Windows 10 icon in your taskbar to reserve a free upgrade to 10.

 

I can't even remember. One of my friends though had some recording business thing, and he said that 8.1 made it actually impossible to do what he needed to do.

And to the people saying gay parent = gay child, how did the first one even occur?
