Which video game franchise would you resurrect?

So there are a lot of video games/franchises out there that never get to see another installment, So as the title says: What video game franchise would you bring back? Either as a new game or, at least, an HD remake.

I personally would pick the F-zero franchise. The last game we got, to my knowledge, was F-zero GP legend back in 2004. My favorite game out of the series was F-zero GX for the GameCube, so I'd love another console F-zero.

Mercenaries. EA rushed Mercs 2 but I still enjoyed it. Heck I still play both of the old ones. If they added a Crackdown like "Keys to the Country" mode it would be epic. They should base the next game in India or Pakistan.

 

I would love to see an updated version of Bloody Roar. Me & my kids still play the original on occasion

 

Only if it goes back to some of its original creators. I don't have faith in Konami to produce a decent Silent Hill game, anymore.

We need to see Mega Man Legends 3. =P

@Sporadic if you have a ps3, you can find it in the ps store for dirt cheap. That's what I did at least.

I can't believe I forgot about that series! I'm running both of those games on an emulator and remember why I loved them. It's right up there with the Strike series back when EA gave a damn. God I miss those games flying a AH-64 or a Harrier blowing stuff up then switch games and using Megaman's buster on Reaverbots in some god forsaken ruin.

 

I would like to resurrect both a game and a studio: Westwood and Command & Conquer.

Since EA acquired Westwood, the C&C games kinda went downhill. Red Alert 2 was the last good C&C game and, I believe, the last C&C game that Westwood Studios really worked on before they started to disband (although that may have been C&C Renegade, it's been a while).

Tiberian Dawn, Tiberian Sun, Red Alert, Red Alert 2. These are all excellent RTS games. But since Westwood disbanded we've got Generals, Red Alert 3, C&C 3 and 4 and they've all been shit.

 

I would like to see a next gen reboot of Clayfighter, Zombies Ate My Neighbors and Body Harvest.

 

Another series I would love to see come back is Ty the Tasmanian Tiger, It was a nice little GameCube game

 

Probably the Grandia series. I loved those games!

There's only one answer to this. Chrono Trigger > everything else. Why Square let one of the best games ever die, is beyond me. I would've loved to see that one as a franchise and kick FF's butt for good.

 

I'd love to see Square include a tech demo of an updated Chrono Trigger game where they can have more detailed cinematics, visual effects, and perhaps add some optional voice acting (where player can have voice over disabled) and while still holding on to the classic style gameplay.

 

This would be a dream come true and I'd pay all the money I have to see it. Too bad Square doesn't see the potential of their own games. Chrono Trigger is considered as one of the best games ever made and remaking it (or even resurrecting the franchise as a whole) would be a guaranteed success for them.
