What Games Are You Currently Playing?

Playing Bloodborne on the PS4 with an American friend who I met on Facebook.

 

Just picked up Dark Souls for the first time. It's kicking my ass, but in a good way.

Except for Blight Town. That was not a good ass-kicking. Dat framerate...

 

Dragon Age: Inquisition. A damn good game. But the PS3 version seems to have a lot of bugs and the visuals have really been scaled back. There's nothing game breaking, yet. So, I'll stick with it. :3

 

Right now I am playing FF Type 0 and occasionally Halo Wars multiplayer. I was rather disappointed on how Evolve got boring so quickly. I never trade games in but I really considered trading in that one.

Also, I am SUPER excited for the release of Trails in the Sky: Second Chapter. I have been waiting forever for it to be released. Coming this year!!!

@Railgun I have lost my sanity waiting for that game. The ending of the first game was cruel and unusual punishment and I don't think I can hold on for much longer. How have you survived? Are you still sane? I know I'm not.
I have the first game flirting with my top game of all time. Can this finally be the series that tops my favorites, Lunar and Grandia?

Oh right I'm going to play KOTOR 1 for the billionth time. Maybe I'll try out some of those mods I always looked at.

 

@Doomguy you should try the mod that fixes the unreleased content that was cut just be for release.

My girlfriend got me Postal 2 since it was on sale. I really miss when FPS games were like Postal. I like having hit points and I like the enemies having hit points. Anyway the game was a load of fun. I've already put about 14 hours into it and I've only had it for about a week. I beat it last night so I'm going in for round two .

Yes it certainly was a cliffhanger ending... I want to say it's been maybe a year or two since I've finished it. I really bugged me at first waiting for the second chapter, then I realized it was going to be awhile (that was even if it was coming out) so I tried to not think about it. It has been waiting quietly in the back of my mind though...

It really was an exceptional game in every aspect. The character development is phenomenal. You really feel the connections between each of the characters you meet during the game. The events like the school festival that you help setup and participate in, the hot springs vacation, investigating the church (orphanage?) incident; it really made the game something I was able to invest myself wholly into. I can't say enough about this game to bring it the praise it deserves.

 

That school festival part was way better then it had any right to be. The whole play was awesome, it was that point of the game you needed a break from the main quest.
When that kid stole that thing (I think he stole something? I forgot) to kick off that plot I thought initially the game finally wanted to waste my time with dumb sideplots.
Boy was I wrong, that setup led to some great scenes.

Oh and that spoiler at the end with the character reveal? Didn't see it coming AT ALL. I never say things like that. I can't believe I didn't see something was off about that character, the warning signs were all over the place but I just didn't comprehend.

They say the next game had like twice the amount of text to translate. Great work by those XSEED guys, it couldn't have been easy. I hope they kept the sense of humor around, nothing better then opening an empty treasure and getting told it's as empty as my soul
(Oh snap even the treasure chests try to spoil the game!)

I remember those treasure chests! I would ALWAYS re-examine them after I emptied them, they were so funny haha. I was reading a developer blog about how she had fun creating each one. "The chest is as empty as your thieving heart." I remember that one! So many great things... looking forward to second chapter being longer like you mentioned, I think it was around twice the size of the first one. Xseed also said it was their largest translation yet, I believe. We can only hope it sells well enough for them to undertake the third and final chapter.

I'm really curious as to how Estelle *spoiler alert* will cope with Joshua being gone and how it will affect the story. I can already sense the growth we will see from her character as she searches to find the truth behind the story and her personal feelings. One of the main parts I loved about the first chapter is the conversations and bonding they shared (Estelle and Joshua) during the journey (example: eating ice cream together on the bench near the end of game!). Also a little hint of romance here and there

For example, you mentioned the character reveal at the end of the game... could you refresh my memory on the details on that part?

 

Well the character reveal was more like "oh hey remember this guy? Yeah he's actually important!"

You know that professor guy. He was always in the game but did not expect him to be contribute to that surprise ending. There was also something about that other guy who was similar to Joshua? I forgot his name, you briefly fight him on the rooftop at some point. I bet he will play a role at some point too.

Now I"m hyping myself up again. Darn it I can't wait anymore!

Ben playing Starbound. I like it quite a bit. It's an easy game to relax while playing.
