Out of all of the damn times I've seen characters use combs I can't remember a single one, and google decided it didn't want to be very useful so here is one of the only images I found relating to it, kind of different than you wanted but it was one of the best that was brought up.....

I really had no idea what it was until I saw the hand as well, it looked like the feminine design from the guy who created Kite and Mezzo Forte nowadays. I wonder if he was in charge of animating a FT theme in his style? I know he did one for Bleach, it was really obvious when I saw it.


if anyone knows where this scene comes from I'd be grateful as well, I have no idea I just like how it looks.

You are close Noobs, I continued looking after I posted that pic. The link I got it from said it was another Ghibli title, I think it was Only Yesterday I'm not too sure since it was a while ago now. I didn't like Only Yesterday so it is no wonder I couldn't recognise it.
