Experimentals

The planning phase for the Plasmium weapon system was proceeding smoothly. The only caveat being the highly radioactive emission that is predicted to affect the user. Until a viable suit could be made to protect the operator from their own weapon the project would go no where. What use is a weapon if it slowly kills it's operator?
Steven contemplated whether to go ahead with development or wait until a proper body suit could be drawn up.
That would increase the cost to the project. We don't even know how deadly the emission from the weapon blasts are. Too bad we can't use guinea pigs for the testing. If only we had a private ground to test the weapon. It was hell convincing the beaucrats that this wasn't atomic in nature. Though it has similer properties, Plasmium can be controlled in small blasts of energy. A small cell of energy can last for weeks of rigorous use. No need for a soldier to carry heavy equipment for ammunition. A soldiers dream.

The last of the scientists for the project made their way to the exit
"Hey Steve, want to hang out at the bar? I hear Rosa hired a new girl"
"Not today. I have plans tonight"
The scientist looked skeptical, Steven never had "plans" but he just shrugged and went off.

That's right, I still have one last payment to Flair and then I'm done with her. Those lab guys are intellectual elite. I bet they would love to get information of Flair in exchange for sponsoring our weapon system. If I did that..."

Steven got all giddy at the prospect. An unknown laboratory helping to create the world's next great weapon system without the interference of outside eyes?
He blissfully made his way to the laboratory located on the off shore island.

 

She was huddled in a corner soaked in blood. she held in her sobs to not attract attention but it was barley working.

The sound of footsteps creeped down the ally way closing in on her.

It was about to round the corner,

a dark silent turned the corner and began walking straight at her.
"Please.....leave."
The figure continued towards her.
"...p..p..pl..please."
The figure was no further than a few feet from her position.
"GET AWAY!"
A hole opened in the sky above the man and a block of scrap metal that she picked up from earlier dropped on him. The man laid on the ground and grace approched to remove his hood. As she peeled it off of his head and saw who it was she backed away falling down hyperventilating.

The Legion looks on.

 

Throne put her hands over her mouth, looking deeply distressed.
"Oh, Leah... you don't remember? You just, suddenly started freaking out, your powers started going wild, out of control. You killed two people until we finally brought you down, through a security program flooding the room with gas. Leah... this is for your own protection as well as ours. I'm sorry we had to do it but you left us no choice. I'm sorry..."

Half and Gevaudan looked at each other.
"Riiight... let's just get you guys inside, huh?"
They moved through the entrance, and along the corridors, their appearance drawing strange looks from those who worked there, until they reached an incredibly large sealed blast door.
"She's in here. You ready, big bro?" Gevaudan asked.

 

"Ready?"
He looked at the massive sealed door, 'There is many reasons, why we should not go through this door.' Zed slightly nodded his head, 'Yeah, door sealed basically means "Forbidden" right? Yeah, also, if we go in there. I am pretty sure we might die. Agreed.' He glances at John, who nodded at Zed as soon as he glanced at him. 'She's on the other side, do or die huh? More or less. Half and Gevaudan are just following orders, lets just open the doors. We do have a plan B, so I guess its kinda good to go. Just get in there, I wanna see what happens. Fine then, but you take control.' Zed closes his eyes and reopen them, his eyes light red not as blood shot as it used to be.
"Okay, I am ready."
"Well then, may the gates open."

 

Claus glanced at the turret from around the corner, then quickly ducked back into cover.
"I think the answer to that is a resounding "no," unfortunately."
Thinking quickly, he morphed a nearby wall into a makeshift shield around his arm that was almost as tall as he was.
"This will probably only last a few seconds. When either of you see an opening, attack."
Saying that, he dashed out from behind cover and braced himself for the impact to come.

 

Claus charged right after the turrets, and Zach followed suit. He barely dodged one of the shots, so he jumped behind the turret, and sank his claw into it. The metal morphed around him, and he formed a large blade from it. Using this, he went and destroyed the other turret.

“Last one is for you.” He called out to Claus. Zach could see that beyond them was a main area, which meant that the central server was only a bit further down. Although from all the stuff they ran into so far, it would not be easy to get to the room

 

"Fine by me."
Claus switched the shield to his left hand and pulled out his pistol with his right. He had to move quickly since his shield was falling apart faster than he could reform it. He took aim and fired back at the turret, causing it to malfunction and shut down. He put his shield down and caught up with Zach.
"It looks like we're getting close. Shall we?"

 

Stalk was casually following along behind, inspecting his companions' handiwork. "Very... efficient. I applaud the pair of you. Well done."

The doors opened, and both Mr Red and Zed felt two boots in their backs sending them straight into the room head first. The doors slammed shut behind them, and a second later spotlights in every single inch of wall and door flared into life. The room was completely flooded with light, leaving not a single spot of shadow anywhere. Said spotlights were also behind a protective paneling of bullet-proof glass, making destroying them conventionally impossible. A screen above them flared into life, and it showed Leah strapped to a table, struggling to break free.
"Remain calm," Half's voice emerged tinnily from the speakers. "She hasn't been harmed, and neither will either of you. We just want to talk, and I for one enjoy a good natter. Now, are you going to listen to what we have to say, or do you want to leave now? Choose the latter, and you wil never see your sister again. Just fair warning."

 

John glances at Zed and makes a quick decision.
"I think were staying, right Zed?"
"Yeah."
Zed looked around the room, no shadows, no darkness in this room just light. Too much light. 'This light is going to be the death of us, keep calm, there is no shadows near us. So we can't really hide, and our shadows won't be useful right now. Lets just listen to what they say. Roger that.'
"So, why is she strapped on a table, and whats with the lights?"

 

It was late into the morning before Frost or I got up, seeing as the whole day didn't end till well after midnight we all took a longer rest than normal.
"*Yawn* Hey Frost you up?"
"errrrrrm not now..... just five more minutes......." Frost said lazily while sprawling out on her bed. Despite being un-lady like the action was rather cute
"Frost come on, It's nearly 11. Wake up and get dressed, the others are probably waiting on us"
"Fine......... Get out I need to change clothes"
"But last night you were find with....."
"Out" Ice claws formed at the end of her hands and a tone of anger was evident. I left the room waiting just out side the door, I don't get her last night she was doing that and now shes back to normal. What is going on with AUGH!
"*SLAM* Okay room is yours, Blaze?" Frost unintentionally slammed the door in my face. After recovering I change myself and we both head to the living room.

Seems our noise had woken everyone up as all but Frost and I wore night clothes. Atlas was in a tan night gown, Echo in black shorts and a neon green shirt, Cel with black and white bottoms, While Miko's and Kuro's night wear were a little...... shall i say extreme. Kuro was in what looked like black lingerie while miko was the opposite completely covered head to toe in Frog themed pjs. Echo's jaw dropped after realizing that was what the two are wearing
"Have you no shame woman? I can't believe you wore that despite sharing a room with a guy and now have a house full of them!"
"I wear this to try and win Sis's love"
Echo's face turned to one of despair, he then looked at Miko again and only shook his head
"W-w-what? It's not like i can tell her to stop that. She won't listen"
"that not it. Why are you wearing those kiddy pjs?'
"THEY ARE NOT KIDDY!" And so sparked the morning fight. After everyone settled down we started talking again and ate breafast.
"okay we all know what we are doing today?"
"Yep, Sis and I are to go to the Plaza district and scope out their bank" "While we are there we could pick up some snacks as well!"
"seriously, we just had breakfast ... I'll head to the residential district's bank and see what I can find out"
"Do I really have to go to the bank? I'm jut going to end up ripping the door open"
"Yes Cel, that's the point of recon to see what you are going up against"
"Tsk"
"I'll head to business district and check out how much security they have. Should be fun if it the area all major business bank"
"And we will pickup the girl and scout out our bank"
I nod to agree with Frost, I guess she won't mention us searching the facilities. Or try to find Leah. With everything mapped out on what we are doing today Frost and I head out to retrieve Crystal.

We walk to the house we meet Crystals parents at, It was a walk but we made it there in no time since it was mid-day. Frost knocks on their door.
"Hello? We saw you needed a day-care for your child, we could be of assistance"
I give a puzzled look at Frost, she turns and answers my look
"If we just up and took her that would look suspicious, we have to sell this to those around or her parents my end up in danger as well"

 

Throne took out a phone and spoke into it.
"She doesn't remember... yes, it appears her powers completely wipe her mind and create a plausible back-story afterwards. A coping mechanism, perhaps? Understood."
She clicked the phone off, thought for a second, then untied Leah's restraints.
"Ok, you're not tied down any more. Feel better?"

"We're not exactly going to let a shadow-man have the opportunity to be all ninja on us," Gevaudan's voice came through the speaker. "Gotta have insurance. Half was handy with testing, I gotta say."
Half resumed talking. "There's someone we want you to kill. You kill them, you get your sister back, no problems. Fail, and you'll be the better off - by which I mean we'll kill you and do something even worse to her. We don't want to do that, but we will if we must. I don't think you're one to mind getting blood on your hands..."

 

The two looked at each other and seemed like they both knew what they were going to say. They both looked at the two speakers.
"Killing is a simple matter."
"I don't like these lights though, mind turning them down?"
"Also who to kill?"
"When do we kill them?"
"Do we get any chocolate?"
"Is my sisters safe?"
"What do you mean by something worse to her?"
"Can you seriously turn down these lights!"

 

"How I....I.... I saw you.... die."
"Fuck hes dead. I told him that was a bad deal he should of listened. Dammit I guess this disguise is worthless now."
Xavier tapped the side of his head and his face began to shimmer. Slowly it faded revealing a white mask with a hole for eyes, strolls and mouth.
"We gotta move."
"Wait who are you?"
The man stayed silent.
Grace followed closely.
"Where are we going?"
He continued ignoring her. Grace accepted his silence and continued to follow him. They made it to a manhole, lifted the cover and dropped down into the pit. After walking through the tunnel they reached a broken pipe covered in rust and dripping disgusting water. The man slowly approached it gingerly taking steps to avoid rat droppings scattered about. slowly he turned the pipe and a wall near it slowly sunk down into the ground. They entered this base like area and the wall rose behind them. On the inside you would never be able to convince her that this was inside of a sewer. Tech lined the walls surrounded by clean furniture and floors.
"Sit."
Grace sat down her eyes still red from her earlier crying and still soaked in blood. The man brought her a new set of clothing. Then when she looked up it wasn't the man handing her these clothes It was Locks.
"But....."
"I'm glad your safe."

OOT:Look im sorry for the lack of posts and the lazy writing with boring characters and such but Ive had a lot of writing block latly so its been hard o write any of this stuff.

 

Throne paused again.
"We're going to keep you alive. We need you and you can see your brother now."
There was a buzzing yell of "WHAT?!" from the phone at Throne's belt, but Throne ignored them. She pointed to a lift across the room. "Go in there and press 1, it'll take you straight to him. No more tricks."

There was a pause on the screen. "Er... ok, we're sending Leah down... apparently..."
The lights dimmed, and a section of wall completely lowered, revealing lift doors.

 

The doors cranked closed, there was a brief period of movement, then the doors opened again to reveal two men standing before Leah in a room that had light-bulbs for walls. "There you go," Throne said, sounding pleased. "Enjoy."
She muted the mic before Gevaudan and Half barreled inside, each bursting into a furious yell.
"Have you completely lost your mind?!"
"WHAT THE BLOODY HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE PLAYING AT!?"
Throne kept calm. "Gentlemen, please. Calm down."
