A New Major, and A New Life

    So ever since i got kicked out of med school i've been staying at home not sure what i'm gonna do with my life. So i've playing some video games, and watching tv while i wait for this job offer to pan out. But now after looking at all degrees my college offers i have decided to go into Graphic Design. It seems like a degree path that will be interesting any graphic designers on here or anybody in Graphic Design college program to give me advice?

    I've toyed with the idea of doing a graphics design course but something always stopped me. Anyway, best of luck and don't forget to use the design part of the forum for practice and advice.

    Ah! I'm in the same boat as you. Welcome to the Graphic Design majors club~

    A couple months ago I dropped out of Cosmetology school due to the school director being very rude to me and not letting me change my major. One of excuses she gave me, "You're too young, no one is going to take you seriously and estheticians don't have the piercings and colored hair. You only look like a hairdresser."

    Needless to say I left that school. I recently enrolled in graphic design courses at the community college. I studied it while I was in high school and was pretty amazing at it. But I never really went after it due to some stupid notion my father put into my head that it wasn't a career. BUT, I finally came to terms with that and just basically went and did what I wanted to do.
