What Anime Are You Currently Watching / Recently Finished?

Also, while I’m here… I’m gonna be going to Supanova on Sunday, and the voices of Ash and Brock are gonna be there. Do you guys think an Ash cap signed by both of them would be worth more or less than one signed by just Ash? (Even though I have less than no intention of selling it)

Just finished the first season of Magi. Not half bad for a shonen, I'm sure to watch the second season when it gets dubbed.

 

Oh and uh… right now I’m gonna either work on watching Corpse Party

Anyaway, went to Supanova today!~ It, was, glorious. Got a bunch of photos of me with other cosplayers. Got a bunch of loot (such expense XD). Got my Adventure Time poster signed by the VAs of Finn, Jake, and PB. And got an Ash cap signed by Ash and Brock/James. Hynden Walch was really nice, and so was Veronica Taylor (who complimented my Ash costume, and had a good short conversation with while she signed). I'll post pics of my photos and loot probs next weekend when I'm not bogged down in uni stuff. =^_^=

Hey do you know what one of my favorite games is? Corpse Party for the PC98 and the PSP remake. You know what one of the worst anime I've seen is? Corpse Party Tortured Souls. For every one thing it did right it would do two things wrong. For one thing it never explained anything and had a huge, f***ing HUGE downer ending that came out of nowhere much like how School Days and Master of Martial Hearts did. If you are a fan of the game I do not recommend this pile of crap.

Next on my list is Hellsing Ultimate.

Nope. Decided I need to watch something lighter and something I can make fun of so a Hentai OVA it is then. Wheeeee...

Oh right, you should have said you played the game. There seems to be a general consensus of people hating the anime if they've played. XD And what the hell? That ending was glorious!

Meh. To each they're own I guess. I thought it didn't make much sense. TBH though I think the anime would have been a whole lot better if it was longer and they spread the gore out. They didn't give you enough time to get attached to any of the characters unlike the game so when they die you don't really tend to feel anything from it. Not to mention that fact that the scariest thing from the game, Yuuta I think his name was, had no build up. Oh well. Not the worst anime I've seen but I still didn't like it.

 

1. My internet's pretty much capped for the next 10 days... so no more anime (like I'm watching any right now anyaway though XD)
2. @Natsuru-san Looks like it's gonna be a while longer before I get to Clannad AS; I gotta get caught up in other things I deem more important.
3. Does anyone know of any anime that shows like people getting needles or anyathing? I want to see if it provokes the same sorta reaction as it does from TV shows and stuff.

Well, I'm a sucker for a not-fluffy ending. And one of the main reasons I love it is the gore, so I'm hoping when I play the games (my friends are gonna give me roms on the anime club camp~) it doesn't make the anime any worse for me.

So I started watching Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal. My goodness it is so cheesy, yet awesome! I think I want to find more 90's anime. I have now found a preference in terms of what I prefer to watch. There is something about the art style, and laid back voice acting...

@batosai You will probably be happy to know what I'm currently watching. Now I am watching Rurouni Kenshin the series. Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal was good. Rurouni Kenshin has more of a shonen feel to it than Trust and Betrayal did in my opinion. I will continue to watch it to see if it is any good.

Cool! It was the first anime series i watched when leaving out DBZ and Pokemon. I watched it 8 years ago though. It will never become as good as the OVA, but those are just masterpieces. The series start kinda dull, but it will pick up in a certain arc. For now just enjoy the awesome characters is has The shounen feeling will never go away though, but that's logical because shounen is it's main genre. @VeritasOdiumParit

 

Finished Minami-ke Okawari, Okaeri, Betsubara, Omatase, Tadaima & Natsuyasumi, caught up with my regular New Release anime's, loving Date A Live 2 and Akuma no Riddle, also watched until episode 115 of Cardfight!! Vanguard, now watching Hidamari Sketch (finally after the torrent finished downloading), in about 2 weeks will watch Higurashi

 

I only managed to finish Hamatora.
10/10 butthurt, now I have to wait for S2.

Monogatari SS. Ep 8. Liking where this arc is going too. Yays for Shinobu and shenanigans related to "classified information"~ And dat little Hanekawa; rarely ever do I consider human children to be "cute", but little Hanekawa takes the cake.

I've also started watching Accel World now. It is a lot more gripping than the other stuff I have seen recently.

When i asked SK what i should watched next he asked for a few genres i gave him action comedy and drama, boy did he hit the nail on the head. Needless is an action packed laugh fest that makes you wonder what will happen next.I really enjoyed watching the "dbz styied" fights, big drawn out fights and action pack episodes. Although the having to shout out your attack EVERY TIME got really old real fast it's a minor quirk. I do however have a big compliant of churz, QUIT BEING A SHINJI! quit being the moopy little brat and man up a bit, yes you don't have powers but that doesn't mean give up everytime. You had some moments where you actually used your smart (becoming more of an Arimin than shinji) but those were cut short because from the disc took over rather than you! but other than those two things i really like it, also DIDN'T expect ecchi to be in there. It wasn't BOOBS BE HERE (looking at YOU DxD) but had some good moments

Also i think i found out why i love stiyl, accelerator and now satan so much. I love the anti-hero archetype and didn't realize it till now. Everytime you see one of these characters you end up asking your self "do the ends justify the means?"

@Supernatural-Knight Didn't end up watching Monogatari today; caught up with sleep, and did some homework and packed for camp.

Also spent some time ripping my Fairy Tail Blu rays, so now it shouldn't be too long before I pick it up again.

@Sir-Maddy I also tried ripping my Higurashi DVDs (which all worked fine, except for refusing to rip one episode T_T), and I noticed the pictures on the back of the case. Namely, blue hair being pinned down and injected with something. I've gotta ask; how graphic is the needle and stuff? 'Cause I've really been looking for a needle scene in anime to see if it gives me the same reaction I get from needles anywhere else.
