So Blizzard are thinking of charging the price of full new game for the expansion pack for Diablo 3. What are your thoughts?

Here is a screenshot of the price: (Warning price may be so high that you cannot believe your eyes).

It really isn't surprising at this point. I've lost all respect for Blizzard after producing Mists of Pandaria and Diablo 3. They used to be my favorite and most respected developer, but I guess no one escapes the corporate anti-consumer culture of the industry for long.

Just for a comparison, the original Diablo 2 expansion came with two new playable classes in addition to new items and content; Diablo 3 only adds one new playable class. But apparently they're expecting me to believe that this expansion is going to offer more content and value than Lord of Destruction did? Well this better be a lengthy addition to the campaign is all I can say then, but I'm highly skeptical of that.

EDIT: This must be for the European release only. I'm seeing the US version listed for $40 which is still slightly cheaper than a full priced release. Still less value than Lord of Destruction though.
