Manga creator Atsushi Ohkubo reported on Wednesday that he is working on the final volume of his Soul Eater Not! manga.

He first noted that he finished the manuscripts for the chapters that will run until the June issue of Square Enix's Monthly Shonen Gangan magazine, which will ship on May 12. He then explained that he is just entering the story in the final volume of the manga, and he wants to avoid spoilers before the upcoming anime airs.

He said that director Masakazu Hashimoto and the studio BONES are striving hard to make a good anime. He concluded that he wants people to watch the climax in the anime first.

The anime will premiere on TV Tokyo and its affiliates on April 8. New episodes will debut on the channel every Wednesday at 1:40 a.m. To celebrate the broadcast, the magazine is bundling special Soul Eater Not! bonus items in three issues.

Main cast members from the original Soul Easter anime are reprising their roles in the new series. Playing the characters debuting in Soul Eater Not! are Takahiro Sakurai as Akane, Seiichirō Yamashita as Clay, Mikako Komatsuas Eternal Feather, and Kotori Koiwai as Kana Altair.

Satoshi Koike is designing the characters for the series. Asami Tachibana and Yuuki Hayashi are scoring the anime's music.

Ohkubo launched the manga in 2011, although it went on hiatus until last October. Yen Press is publishing the third volume of the manga in North America in July.
