    The film primarily consists of three segments: Pikachu's Vacation, a 21 minute feature focusing on the most popular Pokémon character Pikachu; Origin of Mewtwo, a 10 minute featurette that functions as a prologue to the main feature; and Mewtwo Strikes Back, the main 75 minute film feature. The North American version omitted Origin of Mewtwo from the package before its U.S. theatrical run due to its dark nature,[citation needed] as the target MPAA rating was G; the first two minutes were restored in the film's release on VHS and DVD as The Story of Mewtwo's Origin. The featurette was eventually dubbed and restored as a special feature in the U.S. release of the direct-to-video follow-up film sequel Pokémon: Mewtwo Returns as The Uncut Story of Mewtwo's Origin.

    It's up to you guys if you trust or don't trust wikipedia. It doesn't really matter in the end.

    What Zak copied from Wikipedia would make a lot of sense. Although in the release of Mewtwo Returns that the UK got, "The Uncut Story of Mewtwo’s Origin" was not present, and so I watched it online (upon randomly noticing it).

    Anyway what you posted is true and I am backing up Wikipedia here. The Origin of Mewtwo is indeed a short that is a prelude to the actual movie and yes, most of the short was cut out of the movie like it said due to how dark it was. It was a VERY sad ending that short had and I have seen it myself on YT. I HIGHLY recommend everyone go watch that 10 or so min short in all it's entirety and glory as it further explains why Mewtwo turned out the way he had for if things hadn't happened like they did in that short then Mewtwo could have been very different.

    ^ive watch all of those except for pokemon. Last time i saw a pokemon movie it was about lugia and those three extra birds.

    Can you give me a link to that vid? I think i've seen it recently. And yeah it was very sad. It was with a girl?
