The story of the Girls Only Thread/Society

First I don't know who the original creator of the Girls Only Thread was nor does anyone else who I've asked so thanks and credit goes to whoever the original creator was back in JD for creating the Girls Only Thread, for if that person hadn't created the thread then it would have never existed and it certainly wouldn't have evolved into what it has become today. With that said, time for the story.

In the past the Girls Only Thread was a place for the females of JD to get together and hang out with each other though boys were also in the thread and spammed the thread too. Not all the spam was bad, infact a good bit was actually good. The females would try to run the boys out by posting pics, gifs, vids etc. back at them and the boys in turn would do the same. It was somewhat nice. Then shortly after I arrived it changed, maybe that was my fault, I dunno, nor do I know what the thread was like before I came to JD and the thread but it changed to the females talking to each other and just ignoring the boys for the most part. That was what I suggested as an attempt to run the boys out of the thread. (I was only playing along though) Then JD got shut down and JDR was made. A month passed and the Girls Only Thread had yet to be re-made so I decided to re-create it. Needless to say the females were still there but we lost some as well, even some of the boys never came back to it however pretty much from the get go it was VERY apparent things weren't the same. The boys spammed the thread so badly that the females left and those who stayed only popped in every once in a while, the spam of course got worse later on and even mods were contributing to that awful spam. There was hardly ANY spam which was the good kind. Then DTR opened up and JDR closed down (Since it was a temp forum) and I said to myself if no one re-makes the Girls Only Thread a month later I'd re-make it again. This was to be respectful to whoever the original creator/owner was just incase they were still around and wanted to have their thread back though I did want to re-create it. Then a month later the Girls Only Thread had still yet to be made. I decided to make it again but then I thought about how bad the spam was back in JDR and how to prevent that spam so the females could have their thread again and have fun again too. I instantly thought about making the Girls Only Thread into a group with a 3 strike system and if a member got a 3rd strike then they're out! (Banned forever from the group)

This was the perfect way to prevent the spam as well as those boys from spamming again. After all if they want to remain here then they'll have to follow the rules or be banned. I also decided to go the extra mile here. I decided to go to Skype and talk with a select few who were in the Girls Only Thread that could be trusted to keep the group a secret till it was made and who I hoped would help with the group of which most or all are female. I wanted to get with them and see if they were ok with me creating/running the group and what all settings they believed the group should be set to and so on. The majority would decide the out come. We spent half a month getting together whenever we could, going over everything, deciding what settings and so on the group should be set to and so on. The people who were in trusted with the secret and details as well as helping decide what the group's settings and so on should be are Kiri, Serenity, Red and Nyako. Myself also included. I was happy at how most of the decisions turned out to be exactly how I thought the group should be set to and so on. We all gave at least 1 name for what we thought the group should be named and then voted on a name. The result was a tie between two names so a 2nd voting took place between the 2 names that had tied. The result was close at one point and it could have gone either way but after 3 of us voted the name was already decided. Though we tried waiting a few days, one of us never got to vote but like I said the name had already been decided. The result was 3 to 1 and the name Girls Only Society was the name that won. I was also happy that 3 out of 4 said they were fine with me making the group and running it. I also wanted to ask them if they all would be mods or admins for the group and help run it with me and all 4 of them said yes. (Update: Nyako due to not being active here decided not to be a Mod or Admin here) So after a month and a half of not having the Girls Only Thread we now have it again within the new Girls Only Society and that is the story of how the Girls Only Thread evolved into the Girls Only Society.
