You can always get a PS1 emulator and play them.

I need a old PS1 RPG to replay. Or maybe one that managed to sneak by and I haven’t play yet. Tough trying to find one though.

I run through most rpg ps1 games by now. Final Fantasy series of course, Grandia, Lunar 1 and 2, Chrono Trigger (though it's a SNES game also), and of course my favorite Xenogears. Some other good lesser known ones might be Legend of Dragoon, Vagrant Story, and maybe some of the old Tales of Destiny\Phantasia\Tales of anything really.

Never tried Parasite Eve but heard of it. Vandel Hearts is a SRPG thought is was OK. There's Wild Arms 1 and 2 and Chrono Cross. Hmm. Oh yeah Suikoden 1 and 2. Play 1 and get the end save for a carry over, I remember that (2 was superior in every way though).

Hmm. Breath of Fire series? Only one I never seriously got into. Was Persona on the PS1? Old ones might not be worth the effort considering all the remakes of them. Oh yeah can't forget about Valkyrie Profile, starts really slow though. Has VA though, pretty rare for the time.

Guess I better try Breath of Fire.

I loved every single Breath of Fire game. 3 and 4 specifically.

There's also Alundra 2 and Legaia 2 [forgot that the second one was for PS2, so disregard that] (though the first of each was a not-so-hot). Those were pretty obscure and two of my favorites from the playstation. If you haven't played either one, they're both unrelated to their predecessors (plot-wise), so you can save yourself the heartache and just play them by themselves.

Alundra, that was like a Zelda kind of game right?

Almost played Breath of Fire. I just need time to play a rpg before I should delve into it.

Funny story about me playing Lunar Silver Story the first time. I thought it was incredibly cheesy and not worth my time so I dropped it.
What the heck was I thinking! ? Gave it another try and loved every moment of it.

    spoiler for Lunar
The end of the game where you have to play the Ocarina in order to get close to Luna was so brilliant I nearly cried. I failed to do so the first time and had to fight the boss again :). Somehow on my own I just "knew" I had to use that ocarina item that served no purpose in the game at this moment. Probably the best moment of me figuring out something on my own without outside help in video games.

    Man I love that game.

Lunar 2: Eternal Blue was pretty decent too.

I picked up the Adventures of Alundra at MCM Expo (Comic Con) recently. I haven't had much time to play it. It's a pretty decent game so far. I just wish there were more save points, or if it was easier to save the game.

I always considered Lunar 2 as a excellent sequel. So much so that I honestly connect the two games as just one. They go so well together.

I also need to complete Breath of Fire 2 at some point. When I feel motivated for having a video game binge. But, come Christmas I'm not sure if I will have time for some old games. (Depends on my mood, and how fast I can play through the new ones I might be getting).

Alright decided to give BOF IV a whirl. Still too early to make a good judgment but I like it so far. Game sure loves it's minigames. Also really impressed with the sprites, they're very detailed.

Just started playing Xenoblade Chronicles. And it's extremely good so far. A ton of easy to miss sidequests though, and I've only just started XD

Oh yeah that game is massive. Very pretty too. Balancing whether to do quests or continue the good storyline is pretty cool. I tend to skip over the more tedious sidequests but that's just me. Easy game to go over 100 hours. Good storyline to make you want to play to the end too.

This looks like a good JRPG. Can anyone recommend it?

I only played one Ys game for the psp. That game was awesome! From what I understand all the games are action rpgs like zelda or maybe kingdom hearts.

Strangely enough the trailer showes inferior graphics to my older psp game. Looks like they went more retro.
