The December issue of Media Factory's Monthly Comic Alive magazine unveiled the main staff and cast for the television anime adaptation of Tomoya Haruno's D-Frag! (D-Fragments) manga on Saturday. Seiki Sugawara (Kids on the Slope, Akikan! episode director) is directing at the studio Brains Base (Natsume's Book of Friends, Penguindrum). Makoto Uezu (Danganronpa, Kamisama Dolls) is in charge of series composition, while Nijine (Baka and Test, Akikan!) is composing the music.

Katsuyuki Konishi (Hetalia, Gurren Lagann) is starring as the delinquent Kenji Kazama, while Kana Hanazawa (Coppelion, Guilty Crown) is playing "game creation club" club president Ruka Shibasaki. Cast members from the manga's drama CD adaptations are reprising their roles, including Jun Fukuyama (Code Geass, Phi Brain) as Ataru Kawahara, Aki Toyosaki (anohana, K-ON!) as Funabori, and Emiri Katō (Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Monogatari Series Second Season) as Noe Kazama.

An official website for the anime also opened on Saturday.

Haruno launched the manga in Monthly Comic Alive in 2008, and the seventh compiled volume shipped in Japan in August.
