    There aren't a whole lot of them and most of them stray from the horror genre. When it comes to the famous monsters of the night my favorite one is no doubt Shiki. Not only is it a great show but I think it's one of the closest to portraying vampires in the classical literary sense which makes it all the more sweeter and horrifying.

    As far as vampires go, I like the newer vampires more than the classic ones. Granted the classic ones were awesome, but it is always refreshing when vampire shows bring something new to the table instead of using the same thing over and over again.

    when it comes to vampire shows, the the thing that comes in mind is Hellsing Ultimate. such a badass vampire anime. then i read what you are looking for vampires that do the classical definition. hmmmm i can think of nothing of that sort (the savage monster like vampires).

    I can't Really think of any Vampire Anime Besides Dance in Vampire Bund, and Blood C Maybe (not sure), and... Vampire Knight. I Kinda Enjoyed Vampire Knight The most out of the 3.
