Does anyone have any ideas? If so, i would like to hear them, as fellow otakus im sure many of use have felt overwhelming emotions. Although im good at handling others, i can never handle my own. Reason im asking is im about to willingly undo 7 years of my life and it has been causing me much anxiety to the point it has hindered my ability to work. Hell, just thinking about it brings back the muscle spasms. regardless, does anyone else have any tips n tricks? I dont really have any friends to turn to

Well man, idk that I will be much help.  The way I deal with things is to just get over it lol.  But whatever decisions you're planning on making, they are yours and yours alone.  Surely this must be pre-meditated?  Whatever ever you're "undoing" you must have some reason for doing so?  I don't know the details, but if you're acting for your own benefit to do what is best for you, then hopefully you can find some solace in that.

I do know what it's like, however, to have things that you can't get over that affect your life permanently, and "undo" things you've done in the past.  The way I deal with those things is to just think about my future and what it is that I plan to do with my life.  Some things I've done can't be undone, but I can determine how my life will go from here.  I honestly find the best thing for me is to just try to come to terms with things, even if it sucks.  I think it's just natural that some things are going to be nerve wrecking, painful, and just out right suck.  I'm afraid I don't have any real tricks or tips, there is no trick, in my opinion, that will make things better.  You just have to surround yourself with positive people, look toward your future, and make the best of things that you can.  Life always gets better, no matter how much it sucks now, if you strive to make it so.

Sorry if this isn't much help.  Either way I hope the best for you.

Your right in saying 7 years cant be undone, i cant time travel, however the goal iv been working for, for the past 7 years, i now realize is, well, futile. and its time for me to start a new one, but that means i have to throw away my other goal.

I know you dont know me, but people across the world inteacting and giving me encouragement on a personal level, is the only other source of personal strength i get besides the self-worth i can attain from helping those in need. in fact..

Anyone who was around for JDR, this is reference to the issue i posted on there. I think its about time i stop standing still, but the turmoil of moving on is driving me insane, someone has to get hurt in this.

So, i appreciate all words, or, again, tips and tricks, of encouragement, like i said, theres not really any friends i have that are deep enough that i can turn to. They would all say, "go get drunk"

People have gone a lot longer throughout their lives working toward goals which ultimately were unattainable. Just be thankful that you figured it out in only 7 years, bringing you an opportunity for a fresh start. It sucks that all that time is now down the toilet but on the other hand it could have been 20 or 30 years with no chance for a new direction. Hope you can find a new dream to seek out. I know for me personally if my current aspirations don't pan out there are still many other endeavors I'm interested in pursuing. I'm sure you can find something. Row row fight the powa, steel is my body and fire is my blood, etc.

PS. 39 is a great song.

Not sure if this is much better then saying "get drunk" but having yourself a nice good cry into your favorite pillow is considered quite healthy and stress relieving. Uh...if your up to that anyway.

I tend to find listening to the song Survive by Rise Against helps me deal with a lot of emotional problems. You may not like the song, but perhaps you can find comfort in some of the lyrics? 'Life for you has been less than kind so take a number stand in line, we've been all sorry, we've all been hurt, but how we survive is what makes us who we are!'

You may not find it encouraging. But, hope you are keeping well =/

This is not to be confused or construed for advise or recommendations of any kind. But assuming you do not have any health issues or other impediments there are some things you can do to handle anxiety.

Walking for ten to fifteen minutes every day or so, drinking a little bit more water, getting in the sunshine for ten to twenty minutes, meditation*, stretching, a warm shower/bath, herbal tea (chamomile for mild sleep dysfunction and valarian root for moderate dysfunction, but both will also help with anxiety), hypericum perforatum (commonly known as saint johns wort, is basically a mild anti-depressant and can help with mild adverse symptoms of anxiety and depression, but should be avoided if you are already taking medication OR if you are suspected to have any kind of psychotic/bipolar issues), good sleep routine/hygiene (clean sheets, quiet/darkened sleeping space, a shower and brushing teeth before bed, even something relaxing before sleep like a little read or light stretching). Comedy and good humor also can help.

Keeping a realistic but positive perspective can be helpful. Among the many things that you can do on your own there is one issue that concerns me some, you mentioned "muscle spasms", this might indicate something a little more serious but I suspect it is anxiety. If it continues there are anti-convulsants/muscle relaxers that a doctor can prescribe you to help manage these.

But regarding what you will do with your future, that is up to you individually, but perhaps some of this might help you manage with the stress and anxiety that you have during this time, which might help you consider your options better.

All I could suggest would be talking to your parents and/or going to a psychologist. It's what I'm currently beginning doing for my messed up head. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
