Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet Gets Sequel Green-Lit

    The official Twitter account and website for the Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet anime series announced on Thursday that production on a sequel has been green-lit. More details will be added to the website in the future.

    The announcement was also made in a commercial on the Tokyo MX TV station on Thursday evening. The commercial ran during the rerun of the anime, which started at 11:00 p.m.

    Viz Media licensed the series and plans to release it on home video in North America next year.

    Yet more awesome news, Suisei no Gargantia was a definitely the best mecha anime I've seen recently so this sequel was well deserved. Although it still has one more OVA episode to come out this 2nd season is much more important than that single episode.
    I wonder what kind of developments this will bring because of how they ended it........
