Bad news! My second in command was eaten by a rampaging flock of Zubats inside the cave! I also lost contact with professor Ash Ketchum and several of my crew inside the cave. I'm setting up a search team now to search for them inside the cave. I hope they can hang on, the Pokemon on this island are unusually aggressive and ...

Oh no! A group of rampaging Pokemon attacked our camp and scattered everyone! I was able to escape and see the professor battling a group of strangers on the ridge of the inactive Volcano. The Pokemon are out of control. It's like if they are running away from something but I don't know what it can be. I have a bad feeling, everything that can go wrong is going wrong now. We lost our camp and supplies, the Pokemon are terrified of something, we have no ship to go home, there are strangers on this island, my second in command is dead and we still have not found the legendary Pokemon Mew!

We must find Mew! All our sacrifices will be worth it if we find and capture the elusive Mew. I'm heading towards the cave now to see if I can meet up with the professor. The cave must connect up on the ridge.

I caught up with the professor. He revealed everything to me. It seems Team Rocket used ancient Egyptian magic to create a copy or...clone... of Mew calling it Mewtwo. Both Pokemon are here on this island and Mewtwo's awakaning has caused an catastrophic accident inside the lab which was inside the inactive volcano. In short? The volcano is now active and is causing all the Pokemon to panic!

I suggested to the professor that we should head back to the beach and escape by raft to avoid the imminent eruption. Could you believe it? He refused common sense for his safety and claimed that Pikachu was still being held hostage in the lab. The man actually wants to go in there! Despite the circumstances I actually felt a heartwarming sensation to see this old weathered man with a red ball cap feel so strongly for his Pokemon. The man may be a old fool but it's clear to me that men like him are a rarity during these dark anime days.

For my honor as a proud captain I must protect this man. I will help him now into the active volcano lab to save his Pikachu. Dear Nyan God up high, protect my echii filled sinful soul. Please let this not be my final log.

Early this morning the volcano erupted. I lost my leg and now I'm now drifting on this raft with my journal and pen as my only friends. I don't think the professor and his Pikachu made it. During our rescue into the volcano we were attacked by a wild Onix that sealed the cave. The professor was on the inside. Damn! We were so close to the lab too! If only we didn't stop to rescue that injured Clafairy...no. no, I can't think of it that way. It was the right thing to do. I wish...the professor was able to reunite with his Pikachu in the final moments. I fear we lost a great man today. If only half of the Nyan church cultists had the heart and soul of that one man then we wouldn't be in these dark anime times.

The Pokemon Mew and Mewtwo are missing. If I ever saw any of them I swear on my honor that I will capture them. They are responsible for this tragedy. I will search the oceans for them if I must. They will not escape me, I must capture them to avenge the friends and crew I have lost. These are the only thoughts left to me now on this little raft in the ocean. Help......lonely....Mew...hungry....(rest is unintelligible ravings of a madman)
