I agree about Kamisama being pretty good. Enjoying it as one of the best of the season.

^ There are quite a few good shows, of course some better than others, then some just outright suck too but it is to be expected.

IDK bout that but there was a Vividred spoof in like the 2nd ep of SxS Hyperdimension is good.
    DxD is excellent
    Stella c3-bu is awesome
Dog & Scissors is a riot.

Okay so I was wrong with which one SxS had done before, what did you want from me I didn't watch either of these series so I took a guess. But it did also reference a tone of other games too including Mario Kart, Pokemon FF you get the point.
Let me correct something, Inu to Hasami is a riot please. It is ridiculously lame and overall just bad. I haven't even smiled during it for any part since the first episode. It is not worth the time to watch it, I'm rating this a 3 and that is only if it doesn't manage to get worse. So I am hesitant to believe C3 's judgement form you I'd need numerous other opinions stating the same.

As for Kitakubu its next ep has aired and still they break the 4th wall further, seriously there will be nothing left of it soon, and thanks to this show I now have a new favourite late and running to school scenario...
Think if it what you will but I can't find the scene to share unfortunately.

This season i'm watching these. Not that much. I'm looking forward to next season. Some great sports animes there. Kuroko season 2, an anime about baseball and new season of Hajime no Ippo (not caught up yet though. I wish i was).

(Oh and this list i suggested to someone on a different forum so when i say things like ''for you'', it is directed at that person. Not someone from here)

Danganronpa, great but has been less interesting lately and is using some very weird stuff in the animation.

Gifuu Doudou, started very interesting but has ups and downs now.

Gin no Saji, about students doing an education about farm animals. Interesting and funny imo but maybe too slice of life for you.

Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi, interesting from start up to where they are now. 1 of my favorites this season.

    Kingdom, DUHHHHH

Yami Shibai, 4 minutes per episode about old japanese horror storys. Using a picture animation style that makes it pretty intriguing.

I'm gonna keep this short since I already go into moderate detail during regular episode discussions.

Blood Lad - One of my favorites this season. I'm liking the good mixture of theme elements in the show. Could see a bit more fighting but I'm sure it will pick up more and more like it has been.

High School DxD New - Glad to be watching this again. I'm loving the "plot." But it's always nice to enjoy that level of ecchi with an actual cohesant plot.

Mushibugyo - Still liking it just as much as I was when it started. Between a 6 and a 7. Its good it just doesn't really offer any new elements that haven't already been overdone in other shows.

Senyu. Dai 2 Ki - Quick comedy / parody series. each episode is only 5 minutes. It's good for a quick laugh.

Gifuu Doudou!! - My opinion of this show has changed a bit. I didn't continue looking much further into the yaoi undertones and they pretty much haven't really popped up anymore.

Saint Seiya Omega - Nearing some nice fights in the new arc. Typical action / fighting shounen like the original series. has some nice flashy battles.

Danganronpa - Liking the show so far. The murder cases aren't too complex yet. But I'm hoping that changes soon.

Ginga Kikotai Majestic Prince - Starting to lose interest in this. But its at that point near the later middle of the series where you just gotta bear with it and finish. If the characters were more enjoyable I'd have a really different opinion. But os far the only cool part is the mech battles.

Gatchaman Crowds - I'm indifferent towards this. I can't really give a decent opinion yet. All I can say is its not bad and I enjoy the Accel World reminiscent avatars.

Hunter X Hunter - Severely behind on this. Going to just sit back one day and have a mini marathon.

Kingdom 2 - Loving it, what more can I say?

Shingeki no Kyojin - Still need to watch this weeks episode.

Thats good to hear @Metazoxan, some of the discussions have been moving quit slowly recently so I was beginning to wonder how this seasons would go. Anyway about nominations I'll just repost what I wrote on the 27th of August in the other thread

"The new season is fast approaching which means that our next vote will begin shortly. This will open in a new thread partway through next month probably around the 10th, and like usual the first 6 to be nominated will be on the poll which will be live for the remainder of the month [or about that depending on the options start times]. Start looking up bios and trailers now everyone, with a couple of interesting titles to see make the most of your nominees."

So with that there are still 2 days, however since I said about I guess it has been long enough for more trailers and other info to be released, so I may open nominations a bit sooner. So to sum it up, keep an eye out as it will definitely be up sometime by the 10th.

Next season for me is more interesting than this one. This season had a lot of shows that just didn't cut it. Were okay, but just not interesting enough. On top of that i am way too busy catching up to Hajime no Ippo to be ready for the 3rd season that airs in fall. Stopped watching Blood Lad, Danganronpa, Silver Spoon and put Gifuu Doudou on my plan to watch list because i didn't want to drop it cuz i had no time for it.

Cool the fall season does have quite a few interesting titles
    http://anichart.net/fall

    Very excited

Kill La Kill- It's made by the same guys as Guren Laggan (Both the director and script writer). Need I say more?

Outbreak Company-At first I was just mildly interested because plots about guys being trasported to other words normally turn out fairly interesting but then I read this
Having a light novel author father and an eroge illustrator mother, Kanou Shinichi is a thoroughbred otaku. However he does not have any special power except for his broad knowledge, sharp insight, and impeccable instinct about "MOE" and its products, from manga to anime to games to light novel to figures. One day he found himself transported to a fantasy world where elves live and dragons fly. And he is given a task—not to fight monster or embark on a quest, but to enhance cultural exchange by becoming a "moe missionary" in this fantasy world! He meets a palace guard who has a bit of fujoshi taste, a half-elf maid, and the empress who is a little girl. He comes up with the idea of building a school. At first it runs as a comedy but later there are serious matters that Shinichi needs to face: ethnic discrimination, social problems, conflict with neighboring countries, sabotage by opposition elements including Japanese government, etc. Can he overcome the obstacles, successfully bring "moe" culture to the fantasy world, and help the people there as well?

If they really do handle these series matters well then this could really be a good watch.

    fairly excited
IS: Infinite Stratos 2- Season 1 was decent. Nothing really unique in this series that you don't see in every other harem series but nothing is really written poorly so it was a fun watch. Season 2 should be as well.

Yuusha ni Narenakatta- IT's about a guy who couldn't become a hero because right before he could take the test someone beat the demon lord meaning there was no need for a hero. Then he gets a job and meets the demon lord's daughter who is also looking for a job since he dad god beat. Seems like a lot of fun.

Log Horizon-It's in the same vein as SAO and .Hack both of which I enjoyed. I'm only putting this at fairly interested because it could just end up being a cheap attempt to cash in on SAO. The Preview looked good but I'll wait until I see more before I let myself get too excited about it.

Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio: Ars Nova-Plot seem interesting enough and the previews I saw just looks great.

    Midly interested
Tokyo Ravens- This show doesn't seem like anything TOO special based on the preview but it seems like it will be worth a watch. Plus it might have a surpise or two.

Strike the Blood-Same as above. Nothing sticks out at me about this series but the animation looks solid and it has the potential for some good action scenes. Plus series like these can range from Medocre to great depending on what kinda twists they add in.

Yozakura Quartet: Hana no Uta-This is a remake of an anime that it seems dissapointed most people. Given that they are bothering to try again I hope that means this anime will have some real effort and quality to it. Otherwise why would they bother? Also the villain in the preview seems like the delightfully insane type and those make almost anything better.

Noucome-IT's about a guy who can change the world based on multiple choice quizzes that just appear in front of him. Awesome right? Well it would be if the choices weren't sometimes things like choose between going nude from the waist up or the waist down in school. Overall it looks a bit generic based on the preview but the quiz thing could be a lot of fun.

Magi 2: The only reason this isn't higher is because I've already read the manga up to it's latest chapter so unless the anime branches off it won't have much new for me besides getting to see the manga scenes animated.

    Eh....They might not suck
Diabolik Lovers-This really looks a lot like Amnesia (No not the popular horror game the crappy anime that just happens to have the same name) but reverse harems haven't been done much so if just one studio could do it right without writing a more poorly written plot than you see in most normal harem anime then it might be interesting. So I'll at least see if this doesn't suck.....it probably will though.

If there are any series you know about that you think I'm giving to much or two little credit let me know.

Shouldn't use Cox for this. Involve Cox into this and he will just completely finish off those shows just with words making them seem useless and trashy. You might even end up crying xD

In Blood Lad that girl annoyed the **** out of me. That made me drop it pretty early on in the season. Just couldn't stand listening to her voice 20 mins long. The MC also wasn't cool enough to make me forget about her. Maybe a comedy/action anime like this came too soon after the greatness of Hataraku Maou-sama.

Danganronpa is just very overrated imo. It started great and interesting and i love survival games, but they weren't even serious in this anime with the blood being pink for example and the overused jokes that weren't even funny. That girl who had 2 personalitys didn't fit in at all either and none of that was even funny. Also the ''special effects'' were very annoying and made it seem so less serious and good as it was suppose to be. The thing that eventually made me drop it was that they didn't put in any effort at all to make me like even one character in this show. Which is very important in a survival game. Look at Mirai Nikki. Made awesome likable characters and then killed most off.

How is she that annoying? In fact she's pretty quiet and doesn't talk all that much. I like her personally but even if you didn't like her I don't see how she was that much of a problem to make you drop the whole thing. Also try not to compare anime like that and say "I don't like this anime because Blank was better" Just because an anime is good doesn't mean everything should be compared and called inferior to it. I'm not criticizing you just saying I hear stuff like that all the time and it can get pretty immature so try to avoid saying it like that if you can . I probably do it myself some times though. Overall I can understand if it's just not your thing. But if you dropped it after only one or two episodes I'd say you should try it for a couple more to see how you feel about the rest of the main cast.

I try all animes that come out and as soon as i don't like it, i stop watching it. Not gonna watch stuff that i don't like. Blood Lad was one of the most promising for me for this season and it didn't live up to it at all. Not even close. A lot of jokes that weren't funny, pretty much only uninteresting characters, a main character who i don't find interesting enough to be a main character, a heroine who is annoying as hell, yes she doesn't talk much, but if she talks she is annoying. Just the sound she makes annoys me if she even makes any sound. I can go on and on about this, but i can't word it any better than this. Episode 1 was okay. Nothing more, but i wouldn't drop it at that. Episode 2 was so bad it nearly made me fall asleep. I planned to try episode 3, but i couldn't get myself to watch it for a while, almost a whole week and when i finally tried to watch it, i realised my interest for it was 0,0%. At that moment a show is just bad for me and i aint gonna watch something i don't like.

I didn't really mean to compare it, but only one season after a similiar anime airs, you just compare. It felt as if Blood Lad was trying to be exactly the same. I wouldn't have mind that if it was as hilarious and as interesting, but it wasn't. Shows like this need good jokes, and Blood Lad had none. Just the DBZ reference was funny. Other than that pretty much nothing.

    Enough reasons?

Yeah that's fine. But just to give my opinion I thought it did have good jokes, interesting characters (Including the MC), and no one sruck me as particularly annoying. So I don't think it's fair to say it had no good jokes just it had none that you liked.

Also it wasn't trying to be like Hataraku Maou-sama in the slightest. I'm not sure where you are getting that from. Hataraku was more of a comedy with a little action and romance mixed in here and there (Very well I might add). It's listed on MAL as Shonen but it's a bit less action oriented than the average shonen which certainly isn't a bad thing at all I'm just saying. Out of the few times there were what you could call fights it was mostly just the bad guy beating up on the cast until Mao regained his powers for a bit and wasted everyone. I only remember there being two times that could even really be called fights and for climatic battles they still didn't really last long once the actual fight started. Again not saying this is a bad thing just pointing out how it's nor typical shonen. Blood Lad on the other hand is more along the lines of your typical shonen. With much more action focus and a more shonen style of comedy. Basically the two have very little in common so I don't see where you are drawing the connection of the two besides the fact that there are demons. But the way the demons work and how everything works is completely different.

@Metazoxan, maybe i was just hoping for it to be like Hataraku Maou-sama. It did feel like we didn't get enough of that yet. But yeah, the jokes were bad in my opinion.

I have to agree with Bato, Blood Lad's comedy is lacking severely and since that is meant to be one of the selling points I thought it would of been much more focussed on than what it is doing. My favourite character is the wolf, the MC's just are kind of meh, though due to recent developments Staz has gotten better. I still   need to watch the newest and final ep so thats al I can say for now.

@batosai, you should start Gin no Saji again when possible as it is brilliant, never before have I seen anything where they could insult people by comparing how fat they are to how fat a pig is. It truly is one of a kind and honestly one of my favourites from last season, I'm glad it will be having a second season in the future.

Anyway the nominations thread is now open, only the first 6 will be accepted, well actually its 5, the perks of being the leader. Make the most of your nomination, check out trailers and read the available info as I would want activities that will induce a discussion not just fall flat like devil Survivor's or Blood Lad's.

Dunno. I really didn't like it. It wasn't bad or anything, but it was just too slice of life. I wanted more things about animals, since i did a study in such a school myself (crappier than this one though, but i have been to a huge school for 1 week as a schooltrip. It was kinda comparible to the school in Gin no Saji). But it turned out to focus too much on the characters.

Yeah it is mostly about the characters interactions with one another but we still haven't received all that much info about them. We know less about Hachiken than we do of the girl he likes which was kind of the focus recently [not their relationship but her family situation]. There are animal interactions and social obligations to the agricultural lifestyle that they are leading too. But if you aren't interested in its slice of life aspect and the comedy style then I guess you wouldn't really like this series. You did get to see Porkbowl before stopping right?
