Counting the voting thread since the first anime that the club watched. Rules are real simple, you vote for only TWO anime and there won't be any vote changes. Since the site still doesn't have the poll option, I want everyone to post your votes

Nichijou

Genres: Comedy, School, Slice of Life

While the title suggests a story of simple, everyday school life, the contents are more the opposite. The setting is a strange school where you may see the principal wrestle a deer or a robot's arm hide a rollcake. However there are still normal stories, like making a card castle or taking a test you didn't study for.

Miyanaga Saki is a high school freshman who doesn’t like mahjong. Ever since she was a child, she would lose her New Year’s gift money during her family mahjong game. If she won, her parents would be upset, and if she lost, well, she lost. As a result, she’s learned to play in such a way that her score always remains plus/minus zero: not good enough to win, but not bad enough to lose. When we meet her, she’s being dragged to her school’s mahjong club by an old friend. How will a girl who hates mahjong, yet has become adept at the game as a result of her upbringing, survive in this environment?

Yuru Yuri

Right after starting middle school, Akari Akaza joins the Amusement Club which is composed solely by her two childhood friends, Kyouko Toshinou and Yui Funami. Chinatsu Yoshikawa, Akaza's classmate, becomes a member after finding out about the dissolution of the Tea Club.

The Amusement Club, situated at the tea room facility since the Tea Club disbanded, has no clear purpose, being free for the girls to do whatever they want.

Mushishi

Genres: Adventure, Mystery, Fantasy, Supernatural

"Mushi": the most basic forms of life in the world. They exist without any goals or purposes aside from simply "being." They are beyond the shackles of the words "good" and "evil". Mushi can exist in countless forms and are capable of mimicking things from the natural world such as plants, diseases, and even phenomena like rainbows.

This is, however, just a vague definition of these entities that inhabit the vibrant world of Mushishi, as to even call them a form of life would be an oversimplification. Detailed information on Mushi is scarce because the majority of humans are unaware of their existence.

So what are Mushi and why do they exist? This is the question that a "Mushi-shi", Ginko, ponders constantly. Mushi-shi are those who research Mushi in hopes of understanding their place in the world's hierarchy of life.

Ginko chases rumors of occurrences that could be tied to Mushi, all for the sake of finding an answer.

It could, after all, lead to the meaning of life itself...

I've already seen Ga-Rei: Zero, and as for Yuru Yuri and Nichijou, I don't really see how that can be discussed. We would only be posting "Ahahaha, that episode was funny. My favorite character is ____."


So my vote would have to be Saki and Mushishi.

Saki is on my To-Watch list anyway, and I haven't completed Mushishi so I'm glad that this'll give me an opportunity to finish it. Also, it might be a very good conversational anime.

Hey I'm still alive! Sorry for not posting for a while. I'll be involved this time around though as far as this vote goes not really liking my choices here so lets see...

Looks like we have quite a few different genres to decide from. I have no idea what to pick only because Speed Grapher so far has surpassed all my expectations and chances are I'm going to feel a huge let down afterwards. No avoiding that though so my votes are

Saki - for an excuse to watch something about mahjong
Mushishi - because it's on my list.

@Lunar, nah, I loved Saki, it was great. So while everyone will be watching Saki (if it wins), I'll just watch Saki: Achiga-hen (spin-off).

There's only 1 anime that even sounds interesting to me and I will hold off on voting in order to tip the balance if I need too. I've also already seen 1 of these animes. I won't lie, this line up doesn't impress me and is disappointing but, maybe there's a gem here, just doesn't sound like it based on the description.

@Natsu: Don't you normally post a MAL link to each anime? Why not this time?

 

@Natsuru: What do you mean by MAL links? Those links are in the general discussion thread, while in voting threads I only post images of the nominated anime.

@Natsu: Well I just coulda swore that before you were including the links to their MAL in the voting thread too but perhaps I am mistaken.

 

Man anything I watch after the "borderline hentai" Speed Grapher would be a shock to settle into. I'll watch a episode or two of Lucky Star to get my mind off of things. Always works...always.

Oh yeah your sig Supernatural? Maybe that's why I can't get into romance animes.

 

Of course the ultimate and only exception to that for me would have to be Spice and Wolf. Holo could be in a documentary about the life of a centipede and make it seem awesome. (no offense to centipedes out there).
