Anime Convention (Otakon)

Is anyone going to Otakon? Its in Baltimore, MD from Aug 8-10, I have all those days off work, and....I cant find anyone to go with me. Im looking to share hotel price as all the ones on discount are....sold out *sigh*.

I dont have any anime friends around here that want to go, this will be my first con, and I am nervous.

Also, The NY MikuExpo is october...I am also going to that...but Otakon is my main concern right now. I also have no idea what someone of my body type could cosplay as with little cost
(I have a good car, and I am coming from Virginia)

 

hi there, I know its late but can I ask your experiences on attending an anime convention? I was also about to attend Anime Midwest 2024 and it was my dream to attend an anime convention and dressed up as my favorite character. I hope you share your experience with me. I also wanna know if you guys bring anything with you on the convention like pictures to have them signed on it? what else do you guys bring?
