Iris took the money he handed her and took a step back allowing him room to move.
“Thank you, I hope you have a wonderful evening, and please come visit us again”
She smiled, then headed over to the register to put in the money for his order. He seemed like he was in a hurry so she didn’t want to keep him here any longer than needed.
After putting the money in the register for the meal, she realized how big of a tip he left her. Her eyes shot up at the man who was now exiting the restaurant. She smiled and tucked the tip in her apron.

She thought for a moment, curious as to why he had to suddenly go, but she also wasn’t one to pry in someone else’s business. Whatever it was, must have been important. She shrugged and was grateful for the generous tip as well as it being the end of her shift. All she needed to do was clean up and prep the table for the next customer of the evening.

She headed back over to the table and began picking up the remaining plates to take them back to the kitchen. She then took the cleaning spray and wiped down the table and booth for the next customers. It was finally the end of her shift and she was looking forward to going home and relaxing. She headed back over to the register to clock out. She took a few minutes to mingle with her co workers, telling them good night and that she see them in a few days, since she has off the next 2 days.
She then headed to the locker area, she took the tips she made that day, out of her apron and put them in an envelope in her back pack. She threw her apron in the dirty laundry pile. Then changed from her work shoes to her knee high boots. Placing her work shoes in her locker. She then grabbed her jacket and slipped it on, knowing it was gonna be chilly out this late at night. Grabbing her small back pack, she closed her locker and locked it, then headed out the back of the restaurant.
Upon exiting, she glanced around to make sure no one was around. Once the door was officially closed and the coast was clear, she stepped in between the buildings where it was dark for a moment, then stepped back out. But when she stepped out, she was invisible, so no one would be able to see her.
Being so late at night, she would often user her ability to get home safely. If they can’t see her, they can’t bother her.

She began walking toward the front of the restaurant to make her way home. She made sure not to bump into anyone in the crowd that was just now entering the restaurant.
‘Boy am I glad I’m off right now or I would be stuck working with that crowd.’
She looked ahead and began walking
‘Nice hot bath.... here I come’

By the time Roman got out of the restaurant, the two men standing at the window were out of eyesight.
"Hmph. I guess it would have been too easy if they were still in eyesight. Let's see..."
He pulled out his phone and checked the tracking app that Dominic mentioned. He overlaid Zero's position on the tracker with his GPS and saw that Zero was currently inside of a gas station not far from the restaurant. He quickly slipped his phone back into his pocket, hopped into his car and started the engine.
"Looks like I need to fill up the tank."
He glanced over at his fuel gauge, which he didn't realize until now was still at a solid 3/4. He laughed and shrugged.
"Or not. But hey, better safe than sorry, right?"
With his destination set, he pulled out of the parking lot and drove to the gas station.

Upon arriving at the gas station, he soon found an open space and parked his car. Before stepping out, he quickly scanned the area, looking for Zero and the man who was with him. Thinking that he'd caught a glimpse of them rounding a corner, he stepped out of his car, locked it, and casually made his way inside the gas station.

John walked up to the register, energy drinks in hand.

"Let me also get a bottle of whatever cheap whiskey you have.." John said, looking at Tai through the corner of his eye.

The cashier announced the total and John motioned for Tai.

"You did agree to pay for our meal after all.."

As John turned his eyes towards Tai, he also noticed the same man in the suit from the restaurant approaching the gas station.

As he noticed this, he thought to himself
    Huh.. small world I guess

One thing john did notice though, was something about this man's eyes. They felt.. off. Intense. These did not feel like the eyes of a business man.

"Tai," John said calmly "Pay quickly."

Tai didn't really have a choice but to pay up for the alcohol and energy drinks, pulling out his wallet he put the money down on the counter. Sensing the urgency that John was feeling he didn't question anything he just quickly said "let's go."

Upon exiting he gave a passing glance to the business man that he saw at the restaurant, though odd that he may have rushed from his meal to the gas station. He tried not to question it.

Both of them bolted out of the place as quickly as possible as they walked and gained some distance he began questioning.

"What happened? Why did you become so concerned so suddenly, John?" He paused. Thinking just for a moment. "You don't think that suited fella is following us do you?" It was a passing thought. One that was probably correct.

After about ten minutes of walking, Iris was at the corner of her street where her house was. She stepped into the darkness once again, using an area between two empty houses, to make herself visible. She didn’t want people to think her house was haunted with the door opening and closing randomly in the middle of the night. She then stepped out of the darkness and walked right up to her front door. After a few seconds of fiddling around in her bag to find her keys, she entered her house and flipped on the lights. Closing the door behind her, she dropped her bag on the side table and hung her keys on the key hook, taking of her shoes off, she then neatly put them next to the side table and made her way up the stairs and into her bedroom. She gathered some clean clothes and grabbed towels from the hallway closet and headed into the bathroom.
She turned on the faucet and waited til the temperature was just right and pushed the stopper in. She then lit several candles and poured bath oils in the tub. After undressing, putting her hair up, she settled in the hot tub and relaxed. Grabbing a book from the side of the tub, she began reading. Normally she would read a few chapters while relaxing.

After about 40 minutes soaking in the tub she decided it had been long enough. She got out, dried off and changed into her night clothes, then headed down stairs and into the kitchen to make herself something to eat. She did have something earlier at her job, but it just wasn’t enough after working several hours afterwards. She decided on something lite since it was rather later.
“ A sandwich with chips it is “
After preparing a rather delicious looking sandwich and putting chips on her plate, she headed into the living room to watch a little tv.

Roman had his phone out, pretending not to notice Tai and John as he entered the gas station. When they looked in his direction, he snapped a quick photo--with the flash off, so they wouldn't notice. Despite this, John whispered something to Tai and suddenly, they seemed to be in a rush to leave. As they did, Roman laughed and tried to get their attention, putting on a friendly demeanor.
"Whoa, fellas, what's the rush? Hey, didn't I see you two at the restaurant a little while ago?"
It was no use, as the pair never even broke stride, quickly leaving the building and putting a fair amount of distance between themselves and the gas station. Roman clicked his tongue and muttered to himself.
"He definitely suspects something, at the very least. He might even know who I am and why I'm here. I expected as much, but...who was he walking away with?"
While walking back towards his car, he sent a message to Dominic with a copy of the photo attached.
"I made contact with John Doe. But who is this guy next to him? They were together the whole time...if he got a civilian caught up in all of this, then the mission just became a bit more complicated. Run an ID check and get back to me."
With that, he sent the message, got back in his car and started it up.

"Once we know who John Doe's mystery friend is, I can get back to tracking him. For now, I think it's time to pay Iris a visit."
For now, he decided to drive back to his hotel room to change out of his suit.

With Iris staying in the same house for many years and working a steady job in the same restaurant for some amount of time, it wasn't too difficult for the DCOA to find out where she lives. After changing into his regular outfit--which was, naturally, just as protective as his bulletproof business suit (if not more so)--Roman followed the coordinates provided to him and soon pulled up to Iris' house. He sighed as he turned off his car's engine and started walking to the front door.
"Here comes the unpleasant part. In this line of work, sometimes people are nice, sometimes not so much, but nobody is happy to see you when they find out you're an agent. C'est la vie."
He gave the door a few polite knocks and waited for Iris' response.

Iris was enjoying a comedy movie, which had her rolling in laughter until she heard the knock on the door. She looked up at the cuckoo cuckoo clock and wondered who could be at her door this late at night. She quietly got up and crept to her door trying her best not to make any sounds. She glanced out the peep hole and realized it was her customer from earlier.

She narrowed her eyes in confusion ‘how the hell did he find out where I live?... it was probably Doris, she has a big mouth on her’. She sighed then looked back out the peephole. She was torn between answering or not answering, it was late and she was home alone, she didn’t know his intentions nor why he was here. She altered her voice a little to sound like an older lady and called out.
    “W-Who is it?”

Roman took out a small notepad and a pen and briefly jotted something down.
    "Seventeen."
He then looked back up at the door.
"In this line of work, I get a lot of the same responses from people when I first knock on the door. I started keeping track of the most popular ones; it's a little game I like to play just to spice things up a bit."
He gave a couple of taps on his notepad.
"Today makes seventeen for this one. Imitating an older relative is one of the more popular options, actually, right behind shouting profanities to make me go away and turning the lights off to pretend they're not home. Those are some of the more pleasant reactions, unfortunately."
With that, he put away the notepad and pen.

By now, it was obvious that his tone was much different from when he was eating at the restaurant. His overly friendly façade had been dropped and his silver tongue now sounded much more direct, somewhat curt and certainly more matter-of-fact than before. Not that he sounded rude or aggressive, it's more like he stopped putting on airs and sounded more normal and natural now.
"And of course, most people have the same question at this point. "How did you find me?" Called it, right? Honestly, you'd be amazed how easy it is in most cases. Once we got a positive ID on you, our people back at HQ worked their magic and pulled up all kinds of information. Taxes, utility payments, pay stubs, bank transactions, dental records, online shopping receipts, all kinds of fun stuff. I don't pay attention to most of it because frankly, I don't like invading anyone's privacy more than I have to. But it's there. Sorry if you thought that staying in a small town meant you were flying under the radar."

    He pulled out his wallet.
"I wasn't lying about anything I said earlier, you know. The food at the restaurant was delicious, I do intend to see the sights you recommended to me, and..."
Opening the wallet, he held up his government-issued ID to the peephole for Iris to see.
"...I am here on business. I just didn't mention that my business is with you, miss Iris. I've been sent by a government organization called the DCOA, and we need to have a little talk. Would you mind opening the door?"

Iris listened through the door and heard him say "seventeen" she had a confused look on her face 'what does he mean by seventeen?"
She pressed her ear against the door and listened further as he explained what "seventeen" was. She wondered how the hell he knew it was her and let out a quiet sigh of frustration that he figured out it was her. She moved up to look through he peep hole on the door and watched as he put the note pad away. Maybe if she is quiet enough he would think she left. She continued to listen hearing the change in his voice. When he mentioned that most people at this point are asking "how they find me" she shook her head and thought 'more like why don't you guys leave me the hell alone?'
this wasn't her first time someone paid her a visit and, probably wont be the last. Thankfully she was able to slip away from them the last time. She took shelter at one of her co workers house, who lived outside of town, for a few days knowing they would return looking for her. After that they had stopped coming and she returned home making note to check the peep hole before answering the door. Last time she had just carelessly opened the door and the guy showed her his badge and instantly tried entering, when she tried to slam the door on him, he fought her and was able to gain entrance to her home and began chasing her. When she got far enough away from him, she made herself disappear and exited her home through and open window and made a run to her co workers. The guy was obviously not prepared to deal with someone like her. Unfortunately they had ransacked the place before they left and left her a mess that took her a week to clean up.

When he started listing off the ways they are able to track them, she was in utter shock, 'all this just to track me down? why?' what did she do to deserve being treated like a criminal and be tracked down in such a degree?'. All she wanted was to live peacefully and quietly and here these guys just keep popping up left and right. His movement in the peephole caught her attention and she looked through it again. When he showed her the badge she sighed, turned and leaned her back against the door. She wasn't going to open it, not after the last time one of these guys showed up, but she also wanted to be facing the right direction in case she needed to make a run for it. So she just responded with an annoyed tone
"What the hell do you guys want from me?"
