Well let me put it this way without Akuma no Riddle I most likely would have not gotten back into anime would have never joined the forum and would have never became a content manager

 

Got to hand it to our early anime viewing. It completely changed our lives, for the worse I'm sure. I've got so many DVDs from my early series that I wonder if I'll even still enjoy.
Although now I just watch everything anyway, doesn't matter if I think I'll enjoy it or not. Yep getting into anime has to be one of my biggest mistakes. You think I'd regret it more.

I enjoyed that they used a new ed theme for every episode that focused on the main antagonistic character for that episode. That has to be the second best part for me, the best was having Sugita be on the cast. That man can do no wrong.

I don't remember the op anymore, and I definitely don't remember any censoring now. I think I remember liking the OVA more than the series...... for reasons....

 

the censoring was done well mostly on the bath seans but i liked the portrayal of miss bomba in the English dub wow that was awesome the "what you dont know that smell that perticturl smell thats the smell of sunny places " ah i loved that must of played that over 100 times

 

I don't remember too many lines from the single line itself. Even fewer from dubs nowadays. Pretty much it has to be on the level of "Just who the hell do you think I am?".
Only time I've rewound an episode so much was for one very memorable scene. "It was just one block". Who can guess it?

I don't usually relate to characters. That isn't part of my enjoyment from anime. There is one exception though and that is Daily Lives of High School Boys. That show was brilliant.
I can honestly say that a few things that happened in that series had occurred in my daily life. Although I think they were doing more than I ever did. Sad but true.

 

I tend to emphasize with characters a lot when they go through things that I myself experienced e.g. Shoko from Silent Voice as I had been bullied due to my disability and was a bit of a loner in primary school.

Misaka from Railgun series has the biggest effect on me as her motivation to have her DNA used for "medical" research was to find a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy which is the specific version of Muscular Dystrophy I have myself.

on ep 12 so far highly recommend sk its like flip flapers but on crack oh half the time watching it i have had to pause the vid just to look at the visuals

 

I can show empathy towards characters but I generally can't relate to them. The sadder the backstory the more I tend to like them as well. Shoko was a great character. Actually let's not break the movie into pieces, that movie was great in general. But I couldn't relate with Shoko or any of the cast really. I should rewatch that one sometime soon but I get the feeling I might cry this time......

I haven't seen that, I only recommended it to you based on visuals and general consensus on MAL. Weird anime tend to be your thing after all. Hey have you seen Nami? BK do you remember Nami? That was...... I can't even link it.....

That is one intense bio...... I don't remember it being like that when we first watched it. Now you understand why I can't link it.

 

I was traumatised after watching that!

 

I wouldn't say it is trauma worthy, but as an anime entry it is very bizarre indeed. Right up there with Sayuri.
