I don't care for Horror all that much, but I'm all about Psychological!
So I thought I would make a tread just for that!

On that note, I just finished my last anime and I'm looking for something new to watch.
Can any one shoot me a couple mind blowing anime?

Well I don't know what you have already seen but Psychological anime's are some of my favorites and my favorites are Steins;Gate, Chaos;Head, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and I would count Death Note, and The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya as Psychological too.

Death Note is one of my all time favorites!
I don't know if I would count Melancholy. It goes back and forth so much. still a good anime.

I haven't see any of the others. What your favorite of the group and why?

I would recommend Serial Experiments Lain, Neon Genesis Evangelion or (my personal favourite) Paranoia Agent. You will love Paranoia Agent if you are a fan of psychological anime trust me. I can't even explain the plot on here without giving it away, as you need to watch every episode. Satoshi Kon is the creator of Paranoia Agent, as well as some other excellent psychological animes. Paranoia Agent is a 13 episode TV series. Satoshi Kon's other work include: Perfect Blue, Millennium Actress and Papaprika (the first two I have seen, and enjoyed).

If you do decide to watch it, or have seen it let me know. The ending is pretty much open to interpretation, and I will tell you my thoughts of everything that happens in the anime xD

Damnit someone got in before me. Serial Experiments Lain will blow your mind psychologically and NGE really explores various forms of depression and other psychological disorders and then brings it all together with two final episodes which are totally indepth and abstract.

Don't care to much for psychological, I'll watch horror depending on what it is. I'm more for supernatural, action/adventure, and science fiction.

I have to agree with Veritas about Santoshi Kon's stuff are great psychological anime. Also, Monster is a brilliant psychological drama with plenty of twists and some great character development.

Ergo Proxy was pretty interesting. Maybe not great since things went over my head a bit but interesting enough to warrent a look. I never really got the appeal of Paranoia Agent. Found that one incredibly boring. My loss I guess.

Would Ghost in the Shell fall under this category? Stuff dealing with the Laughing Man case was deep.
