Reviewed option to have watched status/watchlist

on the anime section should be able login and on each anime click watched button so you can have on each members account all animes they watched or have a watch list option. This way if i click an anime depending persons account you can see watched anime or unwatcged status if they seen or not.

or give us a way to build our own watch list so we can view or build it to see what seen or not.

i know forum account bit different then anime part but this would be great especially on some people who seen hundreds of anime and cant figure out which ones seen or wanna see.
or even if we can have a watch list.

atm stuck bookmarking dozens animes i wanna see or such and kinda shame if i can have watch list in the site itself. and a seen list.

 

We allow the use of and linking to My Anime List (MAL) and Anime-Planet (AP) profiles. Many of our staff members (both former and current) use one or both. MAL and AP has an entire collection of all anime and manga announced and released in their "listings" database for users to list what they've watched or want to watch (and other possible status labels). MAL and AP's listings collection includes those that are available in Japanese only (manga; anime is typically referred to as "subs" or "subbed" when its Japanese audio). We encourage users to link their MAL and AP profiles, especially when requesting anime suggestions. Using MAL and/or AP allows users that watch both dubs and subs, track both those dubs and subs using one profile and comes in handy if you use more than one streaming service; this is especially true when it comes to subs if you like simulcasts (not to be confused with simuldubs, which is dubbed anime airing shortly after the episode's Japanese version has aired in Japan).

 

how does one even link an account is there a guide for that?

 

Both MAL and AP require registration. The following steps assumes you have already registered on one or both.

On the forum, you can edit your profile and enter your MAL or AP profile by:

1. Moving your mouse cursor over "fayt666" at the top right corner of the screen, next to the envelope icon.
2. Moving your mouse cursor over "Contact Details" from the subsequent menu, and confirm-click the link (typically using the left-click mouse button)
3. You will now be on the Contact Details page.
4. Scroll down to the "MAL/AP" input textbox and enter your MAL or AP profile link. (Use the full link. You can copy it from your address bar).
5. Move your cursor to "Save Changes" and confirm-click.

You can also add it to your forum signature.

1. Moving your mouse cursor over "fayt666" at the top right corner of the screen, next to the envelope icon.
2. Moving your mouse cursor over "Signature" from the subsequent menu, and confirm-click the link (typically using the left-click mouse button)
3. You will now be on the "Edit Signature" page.
   
4. Using the URL BBCode, link to your MAL and/or AP profiles. Exact spelling of your profile is required, otherwise the link will take you to an error page or someone else's profile. (fayt can't be spelled as fate)

i see this helps bit but curius if i watch anime on here and mal is linked will it also auto update mal sense linked?
or will i still need to manually add them like was doing from start to myanimelist?
dunno what linking acually does yet

 

Linking is not the same as syncing. We do not connect to MAL's or AP's database. You are simply providing a location where other users can find your profile and see what you've watched and want to watch and then provide suggestions based on that. You will be responsible for manually updating your profile.
