Last Person to Post Wins

I never even got that far and that's with my brother playing co-op. I think we got to that stage once but didn't make it to the boss.

SNES is the GOAT.

PS2/Gamecube era was great too.

I like a few modern games like Dark Souls and Final Fantasy XIII, but once everything started going online that was pretty much the death of games in my opinion. Every game that's interested me in the last three years has ended up having at least one major flaw.

reaching that level is a struggle. whenever i or a co-op reach that level, we only have a life or 2 and no more credits.

 

I have normally sucked at old games.
Only one I remember being rather decent in was Eliminate Down. I really like that one!


Speaking of which,

I have no way how I was able to survive the first boss of any of those games. All those bullets just daze me. Maybe that is why I use Marisa, since I only need to fire with little aiming to score hits. =P

This is what I loved about older games: You had to remember the patterns. Like Megaman bosses, with you having to figure out what was the best weapon to use on them.


Of course, some games you could only like after much playing, while others were just crap.
Games these day have less pattern and more show.

 

I actually hate Marisa. I think her shot type is a pain in the dick. The only reason I play her at all in Imperishable Night is because she has a partner that switches with her when she goes into slow mode. Marisa is good for focused attacks but she is too fast to use for actual pin point accuracy in IN.

 

I got Marissa and Reimu's attacks mixed up.
Played some of the games yesterday to check. Turns out, I had mistook Marissa's full power mode for her usual attacks.

 

Seeing this makes me feel as if I never had much of a childhood.

 

I haven't had much off a childhood either. Dad was basically a hermit, and simultaneously encouraged and discouraged interaction with people in general. Didn't help he was a single parent, either.

 

This is why I play Reimu in IN.

 

If they ever make a mini SNES (like the mini NES) I would love for Sunset Riders to be one of the games on it. That way you could play with saves I think which might make it a bit easier.

I'm the opposite, great child hood, not much of an adult life. Forums are terrible for me. I shouldn't be able to talk to people without talking to people.

Dark Souls is the same way. It is very much an old school game in new paint.

I don't think I ever beat a single Mega Man boss. All of them kicked my ass and I usually couldn't even make it to the boss room.

 

We all (some of us) have a lot in common! (maybe)

 

The first Touhou game was weird, and unique.

It looks weird from just looking at it.

I lost my flashdrives, and had to buy a 128 GB one today.
Then, I found the lost flashdrives and transfereed the data before disassembly.

 

Why not get a refund?

 

The old drives were already in critical condition, so I scrapped them afterward.
