The vampires freaking sparkle in the sunlight. Normal vampires can't go out in the sun. That's one of the main reasons. Among other things. I read all of them, but hated books 2 and 3. I couldn't even read the 4th one because it was honestly dumb lol.

Not this question! I kid, I kid. Let's see... My favorite comedy is definitely Much Ado About Nothing.

Tragedies it's harder for me to pick. I do enjoy Macbeth, King Lear, and Romeo & Juliet probably the most of the tragedies.

I find Romeo to be a boring character but I love Tybalt, Mercutio, and the Prince Escalus. Tybalt is my favorite character in Shakespeare, I have gotten into debates about how his character really cares about his family. If you read his lines there are tons of words about "kin". Also I like that Tybalt's name is from a character known as the prince of cats. I can go extremely into his character and break apart his speeches.... But I shall stop here to not get sidetrack.

@Core I'm the same way. I usually like one book per author I read. (Aside from mangaka) Shakespeare really is the only author I've liked multiple works by.

I've read countless books in my time. But I started off with "classics" and famous books such as (A Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, Dracula, A Thousand and One Nights, etc.). I've also read most of the books and series movies were later based off of (ironically starting Chronicles of Narnia and Harry Potter with the first movies, only to get passed several books in). But there are still other Authors I've grown to love outside the famous or "one-hit wonders".

My favorite Author would be Agatha Christie, the Queen of Mystery herself. She's pretty famous (globally so, since she translates all her books into 52 other languages), but some people haven't heard of her simply because mystery is such an underrated genre. But if you're ever interested in a good whodunit, no one does it better than her.

Another one of my favorite writers is Cornelia Funke. She does some excellent work with how she writes, and if you're a fan of writing, she's an excellent writer to emulate. She writes a lot of fantasy, and you may have heard of her Inkheart series, but I also liked her more recent series Reckless. She's a fellow lover of reading herself (which you can clearly tell in her Inkheart series), and she's also currently still active (coming out with a new book this year).

Another older favorite would be Nancy Farmer. She has some nice works, both in fantasy and sci-fi (without being too "out there"). But I think what makes me respect her the most is the amount of research she puts into all of her stories. I'm not sure if she was afraid of being called out on something, or she was just that dedicated to the facts. She does tie a lot or realism into even the most bizarre twists, but she also indirectly teaches the reader a lot of trivial information. I enjoyed reading all of her books.

And lastly, if you want more "classics", I really recommend all of Alexandre Dumas's works. Most people have heard of or read some of his works (including The Three Musketeers, The Man in the Iron Mask, and the Count of Monte Cristo), which if you haven't gotten around to reading I highly recommend. But he has such a vast collection of works and all of them are very good. He is known for his revenge stories and he's done them like no other before him, but his works are almost exclusively realistic, so if you have aversion to that sort of thing, he might not be your thing.

I've also read some other short series and a couple random books that I've really liked recently. Those would include the Ranger's Apprentice and Incarceron series and the book Gracelings, and I highly recommend any of those. I might have trouble recalling all the books I've read throughout the years, and even the authors, but those are surely the ones I'll never forget.

I read that. I feel better now, knowing someone else read it too.

Tried to read the Homer's Odyssey, but I had to return the book before I could finish it.

"And Then There Were None." Good one!

I understand that different stories run by different rules in their universes, but that is just ridiculous.

Oh there's a bunch of those, it's like James Bond in every way. Some of the action scenes are really fun, the main guy practically invents ways to get out of jams. It's fun that way.

I'm not really a classics fan. I like new age stuff.

I did read Then There Were None and saw the movie in 8th grade.

I am a fan of writing tbh since I have written my own stories and just self published them. I will checkout the Inkheart series though. Sounds interesting.

Haha, my first Agatha Christie book was actually Murder on the Orient Express, but that one was good too. Dead Man's Folly is another favorite, but that one is a little slow. ABC Murders is a better one for fans of the faster paced ones like And Then There Were None.

I think you might like Cornelia Funke, she's a great inspiration. The first book of the series was eventually made into a movie, but it wasn't all that great. It sums up the book well, but it's just too rushed to really catch the atmosphere and the mood. Cornelia also quotes a lot of famous works as well and she seems to have a lot of fun in the Inkheart series with that, and once you start reading you might see why.

And on the subject of Dumas, I'd go as far as to say he's better behind a pen than Shakespeare. But I'm a little biased, I've read more of Dumas works than Shakespeare's. Plays are a little more boring for me to read because they're purposely less descriptive because they expect to have a set and actors.

    @BlackHeartedRose
Tried to say "Fairy" with a pic from Legend of Zelda. Now that I am seeing a different pic claiming that I am stealing, I am really, really ticked. Shouldn't be available on a Google search if it is stealing.

They don't interest me as much as they orginally did. Plus I have 270 books to read in between everything. I like YA'S, Fantasy, and Mangas. I always find interesting books recommended. I have also been reading a lot of romance.

@Roy-Blue I am currently reading the Inkworld series. I'm loving it. I'm on the last book of it. Thanks for the recommend :)

Haha, no problem. Easily a book-lover's book series. Though I never got to read the last book; a friend of mine borrowed it and never returned it. Maybe one day I should buy another copy and finally finish it. I like Funke's writing style, though. The first book I read by her was actually Thief Lord, which is also an amazing book. I need to read more of her books, though. I've only read that, the Inkworld series, and the Mirrorworld series (up to the last book in both).

You should finish the last one. It's like 8.74 on Barnes and Noble. Amazon may be a little cheaper than Barnes and Noble, but Barnes and Noble are faster shippers. I ordered 9 books and got them the next day. Amazon takes way to long to ship for me. I don't care if they have everything everyone is looking for Amazon is not as fast as Barnes and Noble when it comes to books. I even have a Nook Color rather than a Kindle.

Also Walmart is another good place to order books. You normally also get them next day also.

Inkworld was great, but I probably won't read anything else by her for a while. I now have 283 other books to read.
