i never thought in a million years that I would ever like or even watch an anime like One Piece but just for fun I watched the first episode and immediately started binge watching!! I love Luffy and Colleen Clinkenbeard does a great job voicing him in the Funimation dub. I couldn't stand the 4Kids Entertainment dub!!

@jmriz that's funny because I always liked the 4Kids dub of it whenever I watched that rare episode in the past. I thought the bad guys in particular were entertaining to watch with there voices they chose. Meanwhile 700+ episodes later I can't stand the Funi dub, it has to be sub or nothing for me now.
Can't stand anyone in the dub of this Funi has done, not even the bad arse Zoro.

Meanwhile here I am finally continuing Bleach in the horrid dub........ My brother has got the rest of the collection after having stalled it for a year and a half, and it is gre... I can't even finish that. I don't like it. 267 eps seen and while I'm not blaming the dub wholeheartedly, but the characters, I dislike most of the main cast.
The Zanpakto [however that is spelt] filler arc was hard but I am finally into the real stuff again and it is okay but I'm still not enjoying it. I decided to re-rate Bleach a 5 for now, god I hate Rukia and Orihime...

You have no idea dude how difficult it was watching the dub, you have no idea, and everyone's still waiting for the supposedly rumored Bleach return and the manga hasn't even finished yet

And guess what: It's not even the worst dub there is, Sentai Filmworks doesn't do that good dubs, if you watch one of their anime you'll see what I'm talking about and if you already did, then welcome to our world and while I do agree 4Kids dubs were good, I mean as I kid I liked their dubs and I still like them to some degree

I don't entirely agree with you on Sentai dubbing as I liked the job they did with WataMote and Kids on The Slope, but as far as most animes go I prefer Funimation to Sentai.

Well I'm not saying all of them are bad, some of them are bad while others are awesome, can't list samples for many and I mean many different reasons, though everyone has their own opinions so, no judging

Yeah, I do understand where you are coming from. I actually hope to God that SKET Dance never gets an English dub as I thought the Japanese voice acting was flawless. You should watch it if you like Gintama, which they say SKET Dance stole their character designs and concepts from, but I actually prefer SKET Dance to Gintama.

No idea? Oh yes I do, I'm currently watching it. Originally I liked how Ichigo was voiced since I use to like the VA but now, meh is the closest thing to a compliment I can give it.
But I really do hate most of the characters, most are either emotionless [the Kuchikis however they are spelt] are terrible characters that I dislike more than the bloody Uchihas from Naruto [which I dislike a hell of a lot] or the rest of the cast are just plain annoying. I get it, Ichigo is the MC so he does everything like every shounen but when the few characters I actually like don't even get screen time it becomes very tiresome. I feel half dead after watching several eps in a row.

I completely agree that Sket Dance should never be dubbed, but I feel that way about Gintama too and the first movie was unfortunately...
And just when I thought we were getting along you had to ruin that. Gintama over Sket Dance, but of course both are very good. I loved the crossover episodes in both series which was what made me watch Sket Dance in the first place. I really enjoyed how they called the show "the poor man's Gintama". I also really enjoyed how there was a slight crossover with Bakuman for various reasons I won't go into detail for unless you want more info.

I totally understand your views on Gintama, I don't know why but I just liked SKET Dance more, although I really liked Gintama too. Tell me more about the Bakuman crossover as I don't really remember it.

Guess I'm a little off the edge right now, but yeah even the manga is a little boring right now, but we'll see if it gets better soon
Unfortunately, Gintama was also dubbed in Latin American Spanish, just to let you know, that dub is not even the best one and even the one that voiced Gin passed away recently, so we won't see the anime in Latin America sooner or later since only the first season was dubbed in Spanish

Maybe it is because I watched Gintama first, that could be one reason, or perhaps that it is action as well. Who knows. As for the crossover it was in Bakuman not Sket Dance, one of the characters got to voice a bit part in Sket Dance [they were airing around the same time I believe] so when she was walking through the studio two people walk past her discussing how they should do a scene and I'll quote "just follow Sugita San". They of course were the VAs of Bossun and Onihime [voiced by them] discussing how they should follow Switch's lead [who is voiced by Tomokazu Sugita, Gintoki's VA]. The clip of Sket Dance was even played on a television in Bakuman showing the scene their character was voicing someone in.
Ah it was great. Fond memories of that.

The stupid thing is, if Bleach does get another season I'd still watch it. I must be a glutton for punishment.

I wouldn't exactly mind if Gintama was dubbed because that'd give it a higher chance to come out on DVD here, which let's face it is almost at a zero percent chance of happening. Looks like Gintama is truly a Japanese masterpiece that isn't meant to be tampered with for the masses. Probably for the best since a lot of the humour would be lost and the references mean nothing to a lot of people.

Maddy's not here but someone's got to point out you got shit tastes.
If it at least fit within the story line, I wouldn't say anything, but the first episode after that arc, Ichigo says
"It's great the shinigami society just gave me this tool I've been using for sixty episodes to get out of my body"

I dropped it right around where Ichigo becomes a Quincy, is it worth picking up again?

I am currently watching Mushi-Shi season 3, it's pretty good.
