Yuto pulls out his cellphone and Akio text him

"You guys still coming to meet me after school" the text said

"Yea we're coming after school to the drama room" Yuto replied

 

The proud, beaming smile on Shinsuke's face was truly a sight to behold as he patted Melody's head, which was his way of telling her that she made the right choice.
"Alright, then let's get a move on."
He could tell that she was trying to look stoic and mature, so he contained his excitement and fought back the urge to squee a little. Uh...not that he does that, or anything. Because he totally wouldn't.
"Let's see, I think the lunch room was...this way."
He pointed down the hallway towards the lunch room, not even noticing that he still had a fairly wide smile plastered on his face. He couldn't really help himself. Even though they weren't related, for as long as they've known each other Shinsuke thought of himself as Melody's older brother and he couldn't help but feel a little proud when she did something good.

After walking for a few minutes, taking a couple of wrong turns and asking for directions (it's a pretty big school), the two made their way to the lunch room. Shinsuke scouted around and saw Yuto and Aimi sitting together, so he pointed them out to Melody and walked up to the table.
"Hey guys, how's it going?"
He quickly made himself comfortable at the table and patted the seat next to him, inviting Melody to sit down.

Hajime grunted in pain as he had gotten into a fight again he is sitting against the school wall in the courtyard under a window of one of the classrooms. All the young man wanted to do was drink his soda but of course he got jumped by some guys who just frequently jump him. Thanks to that he had gotten a knee to the stomach and he spilled soda all over the pavement. Hajime looking annoyed, he decided to sit there he couldn't move around that much thanks to the beating he had took. "Well this sucks".

"Hi I'm Yuto Watanabe I'm in 2B what's your name, and are you ok"Yuto asked

Yuto was talk to the kid that just got jumped

"If you want I will buy you a new soda"

 

Hajime easily pushed himself off the ground shrugging off his current injuries. "Nah stuff like this happens to me all the time so I'm fine my name is Hajime Shingen from class 2-D, and don't worry about the soda I bring a spare just in case stuff like this happens". Hajime then in a nonchalant attitude pulling a soda out of his pocket, Hajime opened the soda taking a sip of it before putting the cap back on it.

 

"Well ok but we better get to class is going to star-"Yuto got cut off

The bell rang for the next class and Yuto ran off to class

 

"Ugh crud this isn't good well I guess it could be worse" Hajime then slowly walked to class not caring if he was tardy or not. Hajime got to class 2-D the students were all whispering to each other because Hajime was at least 10 minutes late. Hajime nonchalantly sat down at his seat laying down his head ignoring everyone around him as he started to nap.

 

"Hey, I'm glad you guys decided to join us," Aimi responded when she saw that Melody and Shinsuke joined their lunch table. She didn't think they were going to join. She could tell that Melody was one of the shy types. Aimi smiled at them. She was trying to be happy although she was having a hard time. “So how do you like it here so far? Oh and would either of you like to join the drama club? We are doing Romeo and Juliet this year. I wish we were doing something different, but it’s all good.”

"I'm sorry you were fired from your job, Yuto," Aimi said quietly while walking slowly to class. In the lunch room her mind started to wander. She didn’t really say much to anyone. She was still a little sad, but she was trying not to be. She barely acknowledged Hajime. She was in a little bit of a daze. She just followed Yuto whenever he went.


Aimi pulled out her phone when she felt it go off. She noticed a text from Akio. He hadn't shown up to lunch today. He must have been in the library reading a book. He did that when he didn’t want to be around other people. “Don’t forget to meet me in the drama club room after school. Oh and are you alright? I was in the lunch room, but you didn’t say anything to anyone. You seemed like you were spacing out.”


“I’m fine. Don’t worry,” Aimi responded. She heard the bell go off when she finished her text. She hurried to class. She couldn’t risk being late again.

Description: A shorter girl with disheveled brown hair that reaches to just past her shoulder blades in back. Her clothes are worn and frayed and look as though they've been repeatedly sewn back together. Despite her appearance she is generally friendly and kind if spoken to but is usually quiet.

Lyra walked into the classroom for Class 2-D. She ignored the other students that were milling about and took the seat by the window. Reaching into her bag she took out the book she was reading, calmly turned it upside down and started reading it. Tuning out the world around her, she focused on the text before her.

 

Momo sat in the hallway leaning against the wall. She had a tiny kitten in her hands and was feeding it. Although bringing animals to school is probably forbidden, She had to keep it with her at all times and take care of it, For her job at the animal shelter. No one else could look after it and it didn't have a mother of it's own, so she thought the school wouldn't mind. "There there, Just drink some milk." The kitten mewed. "Don't worry I'm here for you." She smiled and pet the cat a bit. The cat was wrapped up in her scarf and she carried it around. The bell was ringing for class but she didn't bother, This was more important to her.

 

Hajime woke up close to the end of class he looked at the Clock. "C'mon hurry up and end already" the teen said under his breath as he look annoyed he should have just skipped classes today. Hajime then sighed in annoyance today was being slow as usual he wished something strange would happen. Hajime then grunted in annoyance as he ran his hand over his hair. Hajime was now just waiting for the end of class at this point may he could go to the arcade after this.

 

Melody smiled at Shinsuke then turned around to head to class. On her way down the hallway her vision became foggy. Melody held onto the wall hoping to gain her vision back. She felt her way down the hall counting the number of lockers and doors she passed. Suddenly without notice Melody tripped over a seated student and landed directly onto her face. Melody could hear a hiss from a kitty nearby and sat up groggy and confused. "Owie," Melody winced rubbing her face...

 

Shinsuke thought about her offer for a while, mulling it over in his head.
"Well, since I just started here it's not like I've got a whole lot going on besides the shop. And I've never been in a drama club before, so that might be interesting."
He nodded to Aimi with a smile.
"Sounds good to me. I've never done Shakespeare before, should be fun."
After that, it was a pretty quiet lunch break. Aimi seemed a little down, Shinsuke didn't want to pry and Melody didn't have a whole lot to say. After lunch, they went their separate ways back to class.

"Alright, so I'm heading to class 2-B, right?"
He took a piece of paper out of his pocket and stopped in his tracks when he read it, a look of surprise on his face.
"Wait...that's not 2-B. That says 2-D."
With an embarrassed smile that he hoped nobody saw, he laughed quietly to himself.
"Hey, at least I don't have far to go for the right class."
He turned around, saw class 2-D a few doors down and made his way inside. He was kinda hoping for a window seat, but he had to settle for the seat next to the seat. In that seat, there was a girl with shoulder-length brown hair who seemed to be engrossed in a book. He wanted to say hello, but he decided to save it for after class and took out his workbook, looking it over carefully before the teacher came in.

 

"Oh no!" Momo quickly got up to help the student. "I'm sorry!" She bowed and the kitten mewed. "I shouldn't have been in the way!" She extended her hand. "Are you alright?"

 

Yuto walks into class and grab a sit by the window then a kid walks up and says

"This is my seat get out now" The kid was tall and had muscles

Yuto gently replied

"I'm sorry I did not know this was your seat" Yuto replied

"Now you have to pay for taking my seat" the kid said angrily

The kid goes to punch Yuto, but Yuto dodges it really quick and punches him in the gut but not a scratch on him and Yuto get a fist in the face but this always happen to him when his family was alive and kicks the guy in the gut and the guy hunched over coughing and Yuto said something

"This is my seat for now on now go and got a new seat" Yuto said coughing blood on his hand and fainting

 

Melody sat up. Her face ached and the room was spinning wildly. She looked up, a cute girl looking worried. "I-it's alright." She choked out just before passing out...

 

Aimi was walking back to class when she saw that Melody had collapsed in the hallway. She ran over to her to see if she was alright. She hoped that Melody was alright. “Hey Melody, are you alright?”


Aimi looked over to see a girl holding a kitten. She smiled at the girl weakly. She held out her hand to the new girl. “Hi, I’m Aimi, and who may you be?”


Aimi looked down at her watch and noticed the time. She knew that she couldn’t leave Melody where she was. She knew that she needed to bring her to the nurse’s office. Aimi questioned if Melody would really accept her help. She and Melody weren’t all that close.

 

Melody stared at Aimi in a daze, "I think my face is broken." She said in a stupor. Melody shook her head, today was going to suck. Melody flushed in embarrassment, "S-sorry to bother you." With that Melody jumped up and ran down the hall escaping her embarrassment

 

Yuto has been sick for about a week so he missed school everyday

"I'm back here at school" Yuto said "but I still do not have a job"

 

After class was over, Shinsuke packed his backpack and was just about to leave the room when he noticed the girl in the window seat next to him. She seemed to have a distant, vacant stare which piqued his curiosity.
"Eh. I've got a few minutes to kill, so why not?"
He walked up to the girl and waved, though she probably didn't even notice.
"Wow, that must be a pretty good book. It seems like you've been staring at it the entire time."
He gave her a slight smirk.
"What's it about? If it's that good, I might wanna pick up a copy!"
