I think it does matter, somewhat. For example, remember the 1st ep of S1? The villain from the race track, the rich guy, well, he makes a retun in the very 1st ep og the sequel (Pt. 2) of course it's explainedbut, u wouldn't know him otherwise, even so, you're right it is that type of series but, the better question would be, IS the 4th part that type of series too? I'm not convinced.

Absolutely nothing to my knowledge, it just doesn't interest me is all.

Yea but I think the majority of peeps come here for new release anime, I could be wrong, either way, thanks, I intend to create a discussion thread for the ones that didn't win here now that u've said it was ok to do so. Oh and, imo, this ain't no small club. lol

 

I need to rewatch K because I watched the first episode of the new season and I only vaguely remember some of the things that happened. Thankfully I can make the rewatch a semi new experience by watching the Dub instead of the sub.

I also need to watch that movie I never watched.

 

I only watched for Neko. That anime was trying too hard.

 

The moment is at hand. The moment I've patiently awaited for has arrived. The Last Naruto the movie has been dubbed and is out now, today! I intend to watch that movie no later than this Sat but I HIGHLY doubt it will top movie 6, prolly not even movie 5 which fyi, were the highest rated Naruto movies I've ever rated and besides this movie 7 and the Boruto movie, I've seen em all. I dare movie 7 to bring it on.

Yeea, I wouldn't know but, like u, I was going to watch it for Neko (The cat girl if I remember right and knowing u Mafia, I should be right) but, nothing else impressed me and I decided to be more choosey with what I watch around that time, then not long after it gets a 2nd season and then a movie, so I was like, eh, screw it. lol

 

... U know, I honestly thought despite checking my watched threads and there being no missed notifcations there that, it musta glitched, surely we all here haven't gone nearly 2 months without chatting? I see, I was sadly mistaken. Where is everyone @Supernatural-Knight ?

 

Wow your right we have. I started to discuss One Punch & Lupin due to the nomination of things to watch, but got caught up with everything going on in the Asylum during the Oct month. Then just feel into the string of holidays. Still for none of us to even chat... guess we've all been busy or preoccupied with other things as sad as that is to say.

 

Not sure. I know I've been busy but not so busy I couldn't have made a few comments here or there. But no one else was talking so it made it hard to.

 

Dont feel so bad, i dont get notifs for this anymore either.

I think part of the problem was this season was by far one of the most dull I think we've had in a while. Besides maybe one punch man and one or two others nothing is really worth going out of your way to talk about. The super ecchi anime that rivaled DxD and had a great first season is really Meh this season because there is just a feeling of plowing through plot which is good for development but....and I can't beleive I'm saying this..... it needs to mix in more ecchi. I don't mean detract from the plot I mean put it into the plot. Because this show and it's characters practically thrive on those situations and without them and with this half hearted tournament arc it feels like any other harem anime. Again season 1 rivaled DxD in it's ecchi levels and it did it well by keeping a good balance between that and plot. This season feels like they are trying too hard to fit a ton of stuff into the season. Even if we don't add more ecchi scenes at least add in a few more fun moments of some sort.

Seraph of the end is also kinda just progressing. It's not bad but it's also just simply progressing it's plot. Nothing in particular worth mentioning.

The Gundam anime is also okay but not really that great either. I feel they aren't giving us enough background to really appreciate the conflict so we're just watching some kids take some civil rights activist to earth while some guys try to stop them. It's not a bad plot but again doesn't feel like anything to write home about.

K:Return of Kings has some good action but it lacks that sense of mystery that was the central focus of the first season. Overall I'd say it's one of the better shows of the series but I liked season 1 better.

Utawarerumono is probably one of my favorites this season but it's not especially action packed and again I think I liked season 1 more. Season 1 was more dramatic, has war aspects to it, and had the MC go from an amnesiac stranger to a god damn emperor! So while I'm enjoying this anime overall I can't help but wish it had more battles in it like season 1. Also what is up with all the bug monsters I don't remember there being this many insect type monsters in this world.

 

I mean That Testament anime. The one with the demon lords daughter.

watch the original. At first people thought this new anime was a retelling but it turns out it's a sequal. You know the black winged girl and the tiger wearing girl? Or the collar chick and her sword friend? They are all from the original anime. So you'll understand who these characters are a lot better after watching the original anime. Plus it was a pretty good anime.

 

It's not that they are lifeless but I think what you said about Seraph applies here. Even though they are speeding through some big events in the end they are just treading through the plot with no real bang factor.

It's one of the worst seasons in a while quality wise for me. There still are things to watch but I believe it's more because there aren't anything exceptionally good so all the series look decent enough to watch. I am enjoying One Punch Man, Concrete Revolution, Subete F something, Utawerumono something, Gundam and even the likes of Noragami, K, Owari, two identical magic school series with harem and non harem... basically I am kinda watching everything, but it doesn't mean the season is good. If it had Psycho-Pass, Kuroko no Basket, Diamond no Ace, Shinsekai Yori, Sankarea and etc. like before in one season, I would probably skip almost all the series that are airing now.
