@Supernatural-Knight This time around, the only real differences were scenery, and a few minor things like the exact location the sniper shot from, for the most part.
    OVA:
    EP.8:
The train was a bit different, and the camera angles were different making it feel like the train was going the other way.

    OVA:

    EP.8:
    OVA:
    EP.8:
This was very close to being the same. The scenery again though was different (no good comparison angles though).

    OVA:

    EP.8:

    OVA:

    EP.8:
    OVA:

I will say, the OVA's hotel look a lot worse and run down than that in EP.8's.

    OVA:
    EP8:
More or less the same, just showing off the better animation.

    OVA:
    EP.8:
Okay, so a real difference. Window peeking vs eavesdropping by the door. Also the title of that notebook has me concerned . . .

    OVA:
    EP.8:

Overall, not too many differences that the story, but the scenery was definitely different. As I also mentioned, a couple of the snipers exact location changed, but not enough (sorry for lack of pictures there).

The anime definitely looked better than The OVA especially when it came to Koro Sensei's disguise. The OVA literally just looks like this normal self with a fake nose stuck on it while the anime actually almost looks half convincing. Also the scene where Koro sensei talks to the Sniper seems way to in the open in the OVA. I can see the road behind them and the area looks well lit! and he's not disguised at all so people should be freaking out about the alien like guy. In the anime they are in a dark alley or something. The other scenes also just look like they have a little more color and impact in the series compared to the OVA.

Like you said the differences aren't major but the series wins IMO with it's changes.

@Kiri great comparison screen shots you've got there, it really shows off exactly how much better the animation is for this series. Originally I thought they were about the same but now not so much.
I like the disguise change and the pink face while Koro sensei is in the bath.
Standing back to back with an actor was also great, it makes it look more like a period drama than just someone charging in to assist.
My one complaint is that the alley was a bit too dark. Yes an alley is dark but there is dark and then there is not being able to see the setting.
Karma and poison girl pairing also look much better now, hell yeah for the different studio.

Koro sensei's level at listening in on private conversations is awfully low considering how overpowered he is.

Oh, I forgot to mention this in my lat post, but what did you all think about what happened after the ED? I think some interesting things are in store.

He might be getting noticed while spying on purpose just to mess with them. Like "I could spy on you while moving so fast you couldn't see me. But instead I'll just stand here pretty much in the open".

I like the sound of these two new people. In a way it is to be expected [because really what else can this show do to keep it interesting other than bring in new characters?] but I do like how evil they sounded.
Now to watch Koro sensei transform them, surely it will happen too, and then we'll probably get some more people.

This could work because taunting them is fun for him. The secret confessions of his students would indeed be something to screw with them like this about.

Okay so new student joined and rather than evil she ended up really cute. I have to say though I was actually really sad for a second when Ritsu got downgraded (although it seems they left in all the hardware besides the full body display since Koro Sensei said he needed to upgrade her ram and stuff to make it possible to run the software upgrades). You know an anime is good when it makes you feel bad for a machine in an anime.

Well I was expecting something completely different when they said they had transfer students with superhuman abilities. It was pretty cool that Koro sensei treated Ritsu as an actual student and help her out with all the upgrades.

And the new student is a machine, now that's new, and poor Koro-sensei, he wasted more than a lot of money and only kept ¥5 to do a lot of modifications, which were all worth it

So can we all agree that so far Ritsu is best girl?

This might be my favourite episode so far. Usually when a character is pandered with so many 'moe' cliche's I hate them but this time completely caught me off guard. Great episode and such a likeable character. Definitely didn't guess that this show about assassinating an alien would have me feeling sorry for a machine.

The amount of modifications that Koro sensei added was bloody impressive but not more so than Ritsu hiding the new programming from her masters. When she said "Am I in a rebellious phase" I lost it.

I really liked this week's episode. I found it very interesting to bring in a machine into the class room. Like most of you all, I was upset to see her downgraded. I do hope she gets her full display back at some point.

The clip after the ed almost made me think some other anime was being promoted until the end.

Yeah definitely one of my favorite episodes and characters. Be kind of cool if she got a more mobile body at some point though.

Because this belongs here. Not 100% perfect visual to the anime, but good enough for me.

I'd pay for a "Mobile Ritsu" app. I was happy to see her added to the OP. Hearing English in a Japanese anime always puts me off. My mind is not geared for that and it sounds like gibberish for a second until I realize it's English. Sad since English is my native language. Also, yet another student may be joining soon.

Mobile Ritsu seems a little intrusive, imagine the things she could overhear without you knowing.....
When I saw her in the op I began to smile, there is something stupidly enjoyable about that opening and Ritsu made it even better.
Ah english when it isn't expected, I love it. Even better when it is terrible engrish from typically an American character.
The pronunciation of L and R, I've seen this used in a skit before.

Flying 3 students to America for a film with translator tentacles, Koro sensei is even more awesome now.
New student is said to be Koro sensei's brother after an ep possibly for the sake of foreshadowing. I wonder if his introduction will be anywhere near as entertaining as Ritsu's was?

@Supernatural-Knight Well the reason for the R and L bit of the English lesson is common because it's difficult for Japanese speakers to understand. Rs and Ls from an English/Roman standpoint do not exist in the Japanese language. When European foreigner came to Japan and tried to transcribe the Japanese language, they thought that らりるれろ (ra ri ru re ro) might sound like an R or an L. When Japanese people tried to learn European languages with R and L sounds, they had difficulty telling the two sounds apart because their ears and tongues were not trained for these sounds. And this confusion continues on today.

The phonological consonant sound made by らりるれろ is actually a "flap," and we use it in English all the time without realizing it. The flap is the sound in the middle of words like "butter" and "madder." We interpret those sounds as being a T or D because of the way they are spelled, if you say these words you'll notice that you do not pronounce the T like you if you said "cat" or "take," nor do you pronounce the D like "bad" or "dog."

Some other consonant sounds that we use in English but do not exist in Japanese are F, V, and Th.

As for the "brother" connection, it may not be biological, but more a similarity and something the future student was told growing up. We'll know more though once he enters class.

@Kiri I knew some of that, just not in nearly that much detail......
That is a lot of detail. I had seen a 'comedy' anime use the skit saying how extremely sexy it is watching someone demonstrate the difference between L and R up close. I didn't learn nearly this much from that.

And now that the newest ep is out, what did everyone think of the brother?

That how in the world is it possible for Korosensei to have a human little brother? The power of science my boys, though I stll liked how everyone reacted to it, I saw parodies of Dragon Ball Z, Fist of the North Star and Saint Seiya during everyone's reaction

Following the No.1 debut on 350,000 ticket sales in its first weekend on March 21-22, it is confirmed that the live-action film adaptation of Yusei Matsui's Ansatsu Kyoushitsu/Assassination Classroom manga has already drawn one million moviegoers in Japan by last week. It is the fastest record for a film released in Japan this year so far. Now it has earned an impressive 1.2 billion yen.
