What Anime Are You Currently Watching / Recently Finished?

Well today I finished Moyashimon, it was a good series and while not being overly comical it still had its moments. I enjoyed most of it once the cast was assembled. I ended up rating it a 7 because it did fail my expectations but just a little bit. Those little bacteria bastards were hilarious when they were even trying to encourage the main to sleep with someone.

Began Speed Grapher today and I'm liking it so far. Violent and plenty of depraved themes surrounding the top figures of authority. So far it is only receiving a 7 but since I am only 8 eps through it could still go up. Kagura has lived one horrible life so far, I'm wondering how far freedom will take the pair.

Also began Moyashimon season 2 today as well having watched 4 eps. Since there was a 5 year gap between the time seasons aired I noticed the difference in animation straight away watching one after the other. I don't seem to enjoy this one as much as the first season, something is just missing and I really don't know what. It may be that the comedy is held back even further and the bacteria get more explanation time. Who knows.

 

Damn it Maddy! That's why I said anime...I was trying to forget the manga!

 

@BlackHeartedRose How good is Yu YU Hakusho? I always forget about this series but I do tend to enjoy anime about delinquents so I was thinking maybe it is about time for me to give it a chance. And lets face it super powered delinquents just make it sound better.


Well my activity dropped drastically, due to feeling like crap all yesterday I had to play catch up with a bunch of new releases so @BK-201 I'm sorry but I couldn't get around to starting GITS today. I will start it [again] but now it may be tomorrow if not then the day after.
I did manage to watch ep 8 of Kyo Kara Ore Wa, great series. I wish it had more eps because 10 aren't enough of these hilarious delinquents.

 

Hmm funny and serious moments, okay I am sold. I will be checking out Yu Yu Hakusho the next time I need to avoid watching a reality tv show that the rest of the family watch. I have no idea how many episodes three seasons are classified as for this show, 30 perhaps?

You know the funny thing Maddy, I wouldn't mind a full adaptation either. It was enjoyable and not entirely like PA works. I love the fact that Musashino Animation was credited instead and that some of Shirobako's characters were listed as staff.
That fan service though, should have expected it since it came from the creator of Jiggly Jiggly Heaven.

 

So that is how the seasons were split, yeah I had no idea since I can barely even remember this series when I haven't viewed it's MAL page recently. Well time will tell if I like this show, going by the usual time frame of reality tv I skip I should be needing to watch something again in winter. Guess there are only a few months to go before I begin this then.

Are you enjoying or hating it? The viewers seem to be split between good and bad for this series.

 

Yeah, I'm curious what you think about it as well. I constantly hear mixed reviews about it.

 

@BlackHeartedRose I've not yet finished Bleach, my brother was collecting it so we are waiting for the next big release for us. Sucks because we have something like 130 eps to go and I just want to finish it. I'm not really liking it and the filler is horrible and completely obvious. I'm only rating it a 6.

@Sir-Maddy You felt uncomfortable for fan service? That is really not like you, you sure you're feeling alright? That make up was way too much but the special was a lot of fun so I can overlook those things.


My activity, today I finished up the last 7 eps of Speed Grapher and it was good. Not nearly as much sex and violence as I expected from it but it was definitely entertaining. There were some bloody weird fetishes in this show which made things more interesting, and damn that money amount I am that incredibly jealous of it to the amount that there are no words to describe just how jealous I am. For what the series was I gave it a 7.
Started or rather restarted Ghost in the Shell [as I had only ever seen the first 10 eps] as promised @BK-201. I watched the first two episodes and since I still kind of remember them they were good but not amazing. Still though that OP and ED are outstanding, love Inner Universe and Lithium Flower. This is the first series I am watching dubbed in a while and it feels weird.
Also began watching Berserk for the first time today but I only managed two episodes. The animation is spectacular and I actually miss seeing this technique being used when I watch all of the new releases now. Guts show me what you can do.
And for the hell of it I also began to watch Kuragehime, it is awesome. I never would have thought I'd so voluntarily begin watching a show with a main cast of 5 girls. It is so wacky and the amount of parodies in the op is great. I've seen three eps so far and I am definitely a fan. Just putting this out there, I would have dated the main girl as is.
I might have also watched episode 0of Nichijou which was released before Nichijou was I guess to prepare the public for the show. Based on that one episode I am not a fan. It was mostly boring to me despite the insanity of everything. I gave it a 5.
