    The origional series is really good, the only problem is season 2 ends on an unresolved cliff hanger. I haven't seen Zurückspulen yet so I don't know how it compares.

    Greetings, everyone! I'm Jack, also known as the man without a plan. :p I've been a fan of anime for years, though I've been out of the forum scene for a long time. I found this site recently and thought it might be fun to jump back in. Anyhow, my favourite anime is FMA: Brotherhood and my interests include playing video games and watching horror films.     Hello Knight! Thanks for the welcome. :)
    FMA:B is excellent. I think the original is pretty cool too, but my preference is with Brotherhood. As for horror anime, I haven't seen a great deal. What I have seen has been a mixed bag. Higurashi and Mirai Nikki were okay, but they didn't appeal to me in the way horror film does. But I'm ever hopeful that I can find a good series.

    I think most people prefer Brotherhood, although I do need to restart the first season before I get there, I stopped watching it several years ago after 4 eps because I chose to watch FMP instead.
    Yeah there aren't that many true horror anime, series labelled as horror very rarely offer any scares. Higurashi and Mirai Nikki are good shows just not good horror shows. Seeing some genuine horror series would be nice because I'm always open to watching a darker more mature series.

    It's a real shame, too! I find that Japanese horror excels on the film scene, with much of it's Asian folklore influence being very effective in exploiting your deepest of fears. And there's the potential for so much variety in the animation world, that you'd think some great horror would come from it. Then again, I haven't watched a great deal of niche, "indie" anime, so perhaps the scarier stuff just doesn't hit the mainstream.

    Anyway, I'll avoid going too off topic. I could talk about horror for hours on end. It was nice talking to you Knight, I hope to see you around. :)

    This is exactly what is disappointing, they have so many superstitions and dark areas they could play around with. They could deliver us an anime version of the ring or something similar to creep everyone out and surely that would be popular, yet nothing close has appeared yet. It is also disappointing the lack of serious zombie series as of right now so this is another area I'd like to see explored in future releases.

    Oh I'm sure you'll see me around even if you log in once daily only, I'm usually around somewhere on here.
