a roulette wheel with the characters on it, saying above "Who's going to die next?" So, in other words, I knew at least two characters were going to die. I'm thinking I might make my own roulette wheel gif for my predictions...

 

You were commenting on the first episode saying it was boring and how it didn't even have Mecha so I was saying how everything picks up after that first episode including the Mecha action which is actually pretty good. In a lot of Mecha anime mecha action really just becomes two giant robots fighting punching and shooting each other. But because the martian Mecha are so much more powerful the focus in battles is less "Fighting people in robot suits" and more about trying to destroy the enemy death weapon however they can. Like someone in those comments said it's not so much that Aldnoah is "Different" from a lot of mecha but it does a lot of the things common in Mecha a little differently and they do it right. For example the MC is still the badass who saves the day but he does so through clever strategy no bullshit dues ex machine or something. He also doesn't cry at every given opportunity. The martians are also not overly simpathetic. Example in Gundam Seed the Coordinators weren't evil at all they were just discriminated against by racist assholes and eventually fought back with some becoming a bit racist towards normal humans themselves. But here while characters like the princess prove not all of them are so bad the guys in charge are clearly all racist assholes with a god complex. But the Earth side is pretty much the same except without the god complex. So while it's nothing new it just feels like the wrote the villains right. They aren't bland like in some Mecha or too over the top like in others.

Also if you hate Mecha in general then obviously you aren't going to enjoy a Mecha show as well as others.

 

So I started watching Tokyo Ghoul.
I got to the second ep and was met with a totally black screen even before the op. Not kidding.
Rages over censorshit and deletes all episodes [Which were Funimation rips]
Has to DL 8 episodes all over again.

It only took me 9 eps and downloading the entire album to figure out the ed was in english.
So much for my attention to detail.
Is NoisyCell a spinoff of supercell??? The sound is nearly identical.
Also I wanna say how I liked that they turned a uneasy situation [visiting gravesites] into a positive happy episode.

 

Okay so the fall season is going to start airing roughly from October 2 to the 9th. So nomination and voting for the fall should be starting soon shouldn't it?

 

Well the set up is a bunch of students who get super powers and expect a life of fun and adventure but their normal lives continue. Just from that you can tell it won't be quite like TTGL or KLK. The way I see it though is TTGL was like a Mecha show but different and kinda insane and KLK was like a school battle series but different and also insane. So given what we know and have seen what I'm kinda expecting is something that is kinda like a slice of life series but different and kinda insane compared to what shows like that are normally like. So while it's energy won't be as high as those two it will still probably have more there than similar shows.

That is what I'm expecting anyway.
