He heard a sound. He looked out a crack in the wall and saw a guy peering around the corner watching the fight. Locks slowly opened the door not making a sound and turned a huge metal pipe into chain. It shot out wrapping the feet and hands of the man. It dragged him across the ground into the where house. He quickly chained him to the wall.
"Who are you? What are you doing here? Do you work for the labs? Leah Zach be ready he probably has an ability."

Back at the hotel "Lucky Seven" Leonard was given permission from Dr. Zenma to use the lab database. It was low level clearance of course, the data little more then a series of maps and short bio's of known subjects.

Zenma was telling Leonard
"I'll order 24 hour surveillance of all the nearby manholes. It's unclear how often shapeshifter needs to resurface, there is no shortage of water in those sewers.. Food wise he would go no more then a week until needing to feed again. I'll notify you when we find him surfacing, then we'll corner him together so you can interrogate him on the location of the key"
A good plan, who knows what kinds of traps shapeshifter laid out in that sewer. Better to let him wander into our trap

Zenma continues, "In the meantime I have another assignment for you. This one is just between you and me."
"Not a official assignment from the labs?" asks Leonard
"No, I want this away from the prying eyes of the higher ups at all costs. There has been strange activities occurring nearby the city, it's possible that the lab escapees have made it over here."
"Really? Then why isn't the lab spending all it's resources in finding them here?"
"Because I haven't sent an updated status report on those rumors."
Huh? Doesn't Zenma work for the labs? It seems rather risky to hold back that information

"There is a girl who is a high priority subject." Zenma looked very concerned
"She may have joined up with the other escapees. I want them found, especially that girl. One of them already shot down one of our helicopters and killed some guards. He was supposed to be terminated... guess he didn't approve."
Impressive but reckless. No doubt the lab would want to put him down
"I want you to find them, especially the girl. Don't harm them though. Don't do anything at all that can compromise the girl's safety either. I want her and that group watched at all times but I don't want them captured"

"Why not doctor?"
"I don't approve of the method of research the other doctors have in store for her. They want her captured immediately. I want her under my supervision. It's vital she comes to my side on her own free will. The labs method of researching abilities is messy and inefficient. They plow through test subjects with no care of their well being. They don't understand. A naturally gifted student will fail repeatedly to a well practiced veteran. The "failures" they have terminated could have been special. They just needed time."

"Funny, you never struck me as the humanitarian type doctor"
"There are no useless abilities Leonard. Only useless minds that cannot envision a use for them. The fools only see numbers and level of power. I see potential. Even a broken watch is right twice. What greater weapon is there then one willing to do all it is you ask for? You should know Leonard Batista, you were at the top of your company. Your greatest employees were the one's willing to do everything for the company. It wasn't about the money, it wasn't about the fame. Their level of expertise may have been lacking but their love for their work was on their own conditions, it made them the greatest employees and you wanted them to improve."
That's true. The passionate one's were a great stabilizing force. They improved morale, were easy to talk to. Most of the employees just wanted their paycheck at the end of the week. It was the devoted who worked overtime, they loved the research that went on. They were the best employees. You never had to supervise them. Sometimes they might surprise you, their innovation spurred on by the love they had for what they do

"I think I understand what your saying doctor"
"I knew you would Leo. Take Slice and Dice (Zenma's name for Slasher) with you. He's completely loyal but is incapable of making his own decisions. A side effect from the drugs I suppose"
Zenma looked disgusted. Obviously a hint of the disapproval at the "methods" he was referring too.

I hope I don't have to use him. Who knows what state of mind those escapees are in?

(OOC- Doomguy is coming for you guys. With all the blood letting it won't be long until I pick up your trail)

 

"How unfortunate...I've been far too careless."
Claus let these words slip out under his breath, probably too quiet for anyone to hear. He looked at the man who chained him to the wall and when he heard him call out to "Leah" and "Zack", he looked over and saw two more figures in the shadows. From his current predicament, he guessed that the man in front of him had some kind of control over metallic objects. Perhaps it was similar to his own power. He couldn't even guess at what sort of power the other two had, but he assumed that he was at a severe disadvantage if he tried to fight his way out.
"I could use my power to get out of here...but that might cause more trouble than it's worth. It would probably work to my benefit to let them keep the upper hand and try to talk my way out."
Thinking this to himself, he raised his head and spoke up.

"I'm not with the labs, or anyone else for that matter. My name is Claus...and I think that we're not too different, you and I."
He put on a smile that appeared quite genuine, despite his frustration at his current predicament.
"You see, I just managed to escape from the labs not too long ago. They took me away from my home, locked me up, did all kinds of experiments on me...then I found out that I have some weird power. On my way out of the lab, I found out that there were more people like me out here. People with abilities who managed to get away from the lab. I guess they were talking about you guys, huh?"
He shook the chains a little.
"Don't worry, I'm on your side. So, do you think you could let me out of these things?"
Nothing about his story was a lie, per se. He simply decided that it wouldn't be a good idea to reveal just how much he knew about the experiments, his power and about the girl who can control black holes.

 

"I'm not with the labs, or anyone else for that matter. My name is Claus...and I think that we're not too different, you and I."

He put on a smile that appeared quite genuine, despite his frustration at his current predicament.

"You see, I just managed to escape from the labs not too long ago. They took me away from my home, locked me up, did all kinds of experiments on me...then I found out that I have some weird power. On my way out of the lab, I found out that there were more people like me out here. People with abilities who managed to get away from the lab. I guess they were talking about you guys, huh?"

He shook the chains a little.

"Don't worry, I'm on your side. So, do you think you could let me out of these things?"


“You say that, yet you could be a hunter for all we know. Although, for some reason, you don’t seem like the kind of person who would attack for no reason. And if you really did escape from the lab, then they would be hunting you as well. This, in this case, means that we have a much bigger problem on our hands than before. Locks, I don’t think he will be a problem to us, although I’m not letting my guard down, since I have no idea what his ability is.” Zach said

“Claus, if you really are on our side, then you might be able to shed some light on what is happening at the labs, and why they have sent these hunters after us. I fought against one, and he was able to disable my ability, and then use it against me. The lab must really want us back to send those experiments after us.”

Zach then heard a loud crash, and he saw the wolfman was still going against Blaze and Frost. The wolfman was trying to fend off the attack, but he wasn’t having much success.

 

"No one would be this calm in a situation like this. No doubt he could break out at any time."
He looked at Leah.
"Leahs right show us your power."
He grabbed his arm. His injuries were keep him from doing anything too drastic.
"First some precautions."
Wood and stone around then formed chains and tied around Claus.
"Zach keep an I on this guy I have to sit down."

 

We had slashed, burned and attacked without end for sometime but the beast didn't run away. Frost then backed off, she was breathing heavily and couldn't stand on her own as she collapsed to her knees. Shortly after the doubles all shattered, it was back to myself and Frost. By the way she looks she is about out of stamina, as am I. The wolfman howled suffering from no apparent damage or fatigue at all, he starts after Frost and I now being at our limit. I sent a firestream at him as i walk over to Frost, trying to think of a way to escape.
"Deal with that thing, I'm Fine.."
"What do you think we have been doing, besides you aren't fine"
As i say this i wrap my arm up and around Frost to support her, I can barely hold myself up but i need to get us both out of here. As we start our retreat he luges again
"Hruh" Frost sends an ice spike nailing him. Shit he is still coming, is this thing immortal? I send a Flash and try to move faster.
"So, whats your plan here? Head on hasn't worked and he is just following us and attacking"
"Just have to keep going a bit longer.."
We barely fend of the wolf and make it to the place Frost and I encountered the guards, they still lay knocked out. This thing seems to be driven by hunger, so..... wouldn't a helpless meal be more appetizing than two that fight back.
"Frost need you to freeze his feet and make an ice blast"
"Think i can do that, but not much after that"
"Understood get ready.."
The wolfman gets ready for another attack but stops and notices the bodies all around
"Now!"
Frost freezes his hands and feet to the ground, make him immobile till he breaks free gain. As she readies an ice spike i make a fireball
"Give me your hand"
The ice spike and fireball collide creating a large cloud of steam. We make our way back to the house hoping the bodies would distract him while the steam prevented us from being seen.

Seems we had made it to the house without him following us, as we entered the house we say Echo and Atlas had made it back
"What happened to you two?"
"Frost, Lad you alright"
"It's a long story"
"Barely, we'll talk but let us rest a bit"
We explain our side of the events: Heading out to find Leah and the others, encountering Locks and attacking his group, Their retreat, Wolfman's turning and Locks return. After we got what had happened out to them they told both of us to rest, shortly after i drift off into sleep.

OOT: Don't wake myself or Frost as i have a few things i want to do as dreams/waking up. Also now would be a good time to leave the area before Wolfman goes back. And this is just a personal thing here but been alot of action lately, almost feels like a shonen anime, where's the comedy or drama? Maybe even a little romance and mystery? I plan on adding some in my own line but can't do that if I'm constantly in battles

 

Claus couldn't help but grimace. He expected them to be cautious, maybe even paranoid, but he was hoping that he wouldn't have to give away every trick up his sleeve just to make them believe him. But again, he didn't have much choice in the matter.
"Well...I suppose it can't be helped."
He dropped his fake "friendly" demeanor and spoke in a fairly blunt, straightforward voice.
"You people get right to the point. I can respect that. First order of business, my ability.
Although he could barely move his hands, he managed to touch one of the wooden growths that had wrapped itself around his body. The wood creaked and groaned as it started to change and destabilize right in front of them. In just a few seconds, the wood surrounding his body turned to sawdust and scattered onto the floor. However, he left the other restraints intact.
"I can freely manipulate the composition of any non-organic substance I touch at a molecular level. For lack of a better term, I call this ability "Transmutation." I used it to kill the doctors who were experimenting on me. Then I used it to escape the lab, just like you have."
He took a second to think.
"Secondly, the hunters. I recall stumbling onto them while I had access to their computers but unfortunately, I couldn't find out much about them. All of the most important details were heavily encrypted, it would've been almost impossible to break the code in the little time I had. I'll tell you what I did find; these hunters are under orders to bring us back to the lab alive, just as you guessed. This should give us a slight advantage if we have to fight them, but...they are authorized to use deadly force if necessary. Also, I found something interesting that you might not have known."
Claus decided to use this opportunity to try gathering some information of his own.
"The hunters are looking for one subject in particular. Supposedly, this woman has a power that is unique even among the rest of the subjects. They're looking for...a woman who can "control black holes." Do you happen to know anything about that?"

 

Locks didn't dare look at Leah in fear of giving away her identity. He panicked this guy could counter his ability easily and he didn't have time for it.
"Fuck. I don't have time for this I'm going back to the labs now and getting them back. You guys can go talk to the others all you want but they are not going to help me. You guys are either with me or against me."
All emotion dropped from his face leaving nothing but hate and agony.
"And let me be clear, I will not hesitate to kill you if you try and stop me from leaving."

 

Dr. Zenma put his gloved hand on Leonard's sholder.
"Wait, it's a large group of escapees and they may be working together. If you count myself that makes three of us and you aren't of much use in a fight."
"You have a point doctor but what do you purpose we do?"
"We need to head back to the lab for reinforcements. Although I don't like it we have some subjects that are conditioned like Slasher. They won't do much good thinking on their own but they do make for lovely bodygaurds."

Slasher was sitting looking bored on the sofa. I wonder what kind of person he really was? I caught him staring at the kitchen staff today. He looked like he wanted to say something but I couldn't get anything out of him. Not even my power found any traces

"Alright let's go pick up those lost souls"

 

(Sorry about my late return.)

The air around Leah seemed to shimmer slightly as its temperature rose. Within moments, a humanoid stood there, one could describe the figure as Logan, "Well then." He turned to look at the newer people in the group.

 

Locks looked slightly amazed but it quickly faded from his face.
"I'm out of here."
He looked at the wall and it turned into chains as it fell the ground leaving a gaping hole in the wall in front of them. Locks began to limp out towards a boat.

 

After devouring the corpses, that damned delicious face flashing into his mind again set him off on the hunt.

Something dripped on Leah's shoulder, a red stain spreading across the fabric.
Then, suddenly, he dropped from the dark ceiling and took Leah off her feet, slamming her onto her back. He snapped at her wildly, the only conscious thought in his brain of how good the meat would taste as he stripped it from her still-shaking bones.

OOT: This will be the last bit of action for a while, unless anyone else has any plans.
Oh.
And SURPRISE, MOTHER******!!

 

Mayby I like shonen anime

 

There was a sound not unlike cooking bacon.
There was a very feeble "Urrr..." Then he collapsed off her, smoke coming out of his ears, still alive but looking completely charbroiled once again.

 

OOT- Alright new character! Guess I'll wait and see what's in store. I believe my roster is almost filled out. I'm debating on bringing Leo's lover as an experimental subject. It would be a hell of a kick but might be too ambitious...either she becomes a playable character or remains a npc. Such difficult questions...

Anyway I'm still idle until something develops.

 

"Brother! Brother!"
"What you want _____?"
"Get up we need to go!"
"Go where?"
"Well home of course!"
"Let me just rest for a little bit."
"NO! Get up now ______!"
"Jeez _____, Fine i'm getting up."

Zed gets up and sees his sister next to him, a light blinds his vision, he is unable to see his sisters face or any aspects. Zed looks around him and sees grassy fields in front of him, behind him mountains and forests.

"_____ where are we? _____?"

Zed checks for his sister, but she's not there. The ground starts to rumble as the mountains start to fall apart, the sky's start to turn grey as cracks start to appear. The forest is set a blaze and the cries of animals can be heard from afar. Astroids and meteoroids start to fall from the sky, the grassy fields start to rot as everything is being destroyed. Zed looking around him panics and shouts out a name, but no sound comes out. Confused and stressed Zed looks for a way out of this hell. The ground that Zed is on starts to crack, Zed panicking takes a step forward but his leg falls into the ground dragging his whole body down to a dark void, a bottomless dark void.

"You will die here Zed, rest in the void that created this damned universe."

Zed wakes up on a bed and sees a wooden roof above him. Zed gets up slowly as he is in pain, he takes a good look at his body.His body is covered in bandages, like someone has taken care of him. The door near Zed opens and a man in a red suit comes into the room.

"Ahhh, Zed your awake good."
"Where am i?"
"All questions will be answered soon Zed, just be patient."
"At least. . . . tell me. . . . who are you?"
"Well i can't tell you my real name, but you can call me Mr. Red."

 

OOT: Just gonna do a little something to show that I'm still here.


Claus touched part of the stone restraints and turned a chunk of stone into a copy of the AR-15 he had when he escaped from the prison.
"You people really need to improve on your pest control."
Holding the gun in one arm, he took careful aim and fired a few shots into the electrocuted wolf-man.
"If you'd like, I can help. But only if you let me out of here first."

 

Leonard and Dr. Zenma were in the mess hall. The place was crowded by guards and chatting scientists. There were two white coats sharing the latest gossip nearby.

"Did you hear? Another one expired with the new serum they're trying out. Seems no one can withstand it's extreme side effects"
"With the garbage we keep getting I'm not surprised. Did you hear that they're planning on restarting the lab in Kras City? They got that doctor with experimental powers in charge of that operation. It's stupid, don't the higher ups know that lab was sealed in for a reason?"
"I don't know what the higher ups are thinking these days. I heard that doctor even took one of his own subjects as a protege. How ridiculous is that?"
"Yeah I know, maybe because the guy was a former subject himself? How can he be trusted?"
"Well I hear he's been a veteran in these labs for a long time. The rumor is that he sold his wife out to the labs to save his own skin."
"Really?"
"Yeah, they even say he let his doctor rape his wife in front of him then ordered him to kill her himself"
"Holy shit, did he do it?"
"You bet he did. He sacrificed that whore to save himself"
"What did he do then?"
"Nothing. They say he was completely loyal from that day on."
"No shit? Hey... we should think of a method like that, it'll be fun!"
"Hell yeah that's a good idea. Too bad we keep getting garbage"
"Yeah..."

Zenma wasn't eating his food. The look on his face was devoid of any emotion. The man who usually had something to say was completely silent. It was disturbing to see him like this.
"Dr. Zenma? Is it true?"
"Eat your food Mr. Batista. I have nothing to say"
