Yup, I was more than satisfied with the slice, that it almost completely makes up for the lack of innards.

Oh, and going back to the "avoiding because shounen-like";
Do you recall claiming that you'd one day recommend me an anime I'd like "as much, if not more than, Haruhi"? If Akame keeps its momentum, I actually think it might do battle with Haruhi. But, and I mean BUT, it will NOT count towards your mission. You wanna know why? It's because even though you told me after the first ep that I'd love it 'cause aforementioned reasons, your presence was not actually needed for me to watch this. If you recall as I do, I was gonna watch Akame ga Kill anyway, purely because I thought I saw ears, but you told me I shouldn't bother just because of that slight chance, that you'd watch it and then report to me the level of ears. So, lemme just illustrate this.
You are present > You tell me not to watch 'cause you can report ears > You report, giving ears and delicious darkness > I watch
You are not present > I watch first ep 'cause I thought I saw ears > I receive both ears and delicious darkness > I watch
So, yeah, if anything, rather than recommending this anime to me, you actually did the opposite. ;P

 

Well since I indirectly recommeneded it to Super causing him to watch it in the first place and change his mind about telling you not to watch it does that mean I accomplished the mission for him?
I am present > Super watches first episode and changes recommendation> you watch
I am not present> Super never watches it and continues to strongly tell you to not watch it> you don't watch.

I've heard it's out, but I have no idea when I'll watch it. And mate, I think I see why you're not liking it, and said you thought SS was worst; from my perspective, you've set yourself up in a Positive Feedback Loop. You went in not wanting/expecting to like it, see something you don't like, which reinforces you not wanting to like it, which reinforces you not being able to like it. If you stop expecting you're going to hate it, you'll probably enjoy it. Stop with this "I want to expect it's bad and be surprised if it's not;" you're just ruining it for yourself.

Yeah, no. Did you not see the thing I wrote? I was going to watch it regardless of whether SK told me to or not. The only reason I listened to him when he told me to not watch it, is because he WAS going to watch it, so therefore he could report ear levels within. So, lemme fix that thing of yours

Showed this post to some people at uni today. One of them said "I'm sorry, but the first thing that came to my mind was 'That is gonna be abused in Photoshop so easily.'"

And I watched Nozaki-kun's first ep today. It was funny, but, not what I'd call hilarious. It gets funnier, right?
Also, I remember seeing a clip a while ago of that "Hey, Nozaki-kun" bike thing a while ago. Anyone have a link to that?

 

you know sometimes i hate watching anime legally, im always an episode behind everyone else and im too poor to subscribe so it is hard for me to chat about airing shows unless i talk about the general aspect the focus of a single episode

 

Yes it gets funnier, it's one of those shows that's consistently funny depending on your sense of humor.

I don't have that scene, but I can give you the scene where Seo calls Nozaki a lolicon.

 

Ah okay then. My plan for this weekend: Get ALL the homework done. Then and only then, watch anime. Probably finish off the last snibbets of Haganai NEXT, or maybe new releases, then catch up on Nozaki-kun.

I'll save that for when I actually watch the episode. Thanks though.
