    Im not saying r2 was bad in any way, but it lacked the great fight scenes that were in R1. The show went from a great strategy with amazing battles to a few overpowered mechs that could wipe out armies on their own. This took out the entire fight element from the show, leaving room for only small battles between equally overpowered mechs while everyone is represented as little blips in the distance being destroyed by the hundreds. Again, great show with amazing plot twists, but it lacked the element of Lelouch's brilliant strategies pulling the underdog rebels to victory.

    I do agree that season one was better than R2. To be fair though, most second seasons don't live up to the first. The first season also had new and exciting things where as the second is more of the same and can make the anime loose it "shimmer".

    That is true, I felt like the second season had more of a 'person' element to it rather than actual combat for the land. While R1 focused more on the rise of Zero and highlighted Euphemia's tragic death etc, R2 focused more on the well known characters, such as C.C.s past, Shirley's death, Nunnaly's awakening, Rolo, Suzaku, etc etc and finally Lelouch's death.

    I think R1 was more focused on Lelouch finding his goals and gaining the power emotionally and pillitically to attain them while the R2 was more to do with the mystery of Geass and Lelouch as a person, still the ending of R2 left me crying like a little bitch and despite rewatching the series multiple times i usually stop short of the last couple episodes. My heart just can't handle that much stress yo.

    I'm up to episode 6 of Code Geass R2 now. It's alright. But, I think it has more plot holes than the first series. Still, I am enjoying Code Geass quite a lot :D

    Wait, it's gonna make more sense.

    Also, I would like to have you opinion on what happens when Lelouch uses his powers on you'll know what and its context.

    So I have two more episodes left to watch (which I will watch tomorrow). It feels like they've rushed the last 7 episodes. It's getting ridiculous now, LoL.

    Just finished R2!! It was a pretty awesome ending!! But, yeah it felt a little rushed towards the end. Had they a bit more of a budget, they could have extended it for another 2-3 episodes for a proper ending. But, it was still pretty cool! I went into Code Geass thinking it was lame, but it was actually a lot of fun and very exciting to watch! ^_^' Cheers for the recommendation @Negi-Springfield !!

    No problem.
    Also @VeritasOdiumParit
    what did you think when Lelouch used his Geass on God?
    It's been a while, but wasn't his mother there?

    @Negi-Springfield
    It felt very anti-climatic. It was all built up for nothing. But, luckily they managed to divert the story to a relatively interesting one that just about saved the series.
