Notice Dubtopia Now Has Ads

    As the title states, with help from @sayWut , Dubtopia now has ads (Forum ads coming soon). What does this mean for our site? It means that we're working with a new adsense account that will eventually start to generate revenue on either a per-click or per-impression basis. Revenue gained through adsense will be put into the community to pay for things such as our server and domain hosting. You can find the three relevant ads located in these three areas on each page.

    If you would like to support the site and see us continue for years to come, please disable any adblockers on the Dubtopia site. Adding the exception or changing the filters for your adblocker will only disable ads solely on dubtopia.eu and ads for the video player hosts would still be blocked.

    Our site will operate largely off of adsense revenue once the traffic starts picking back up. Until adsense starts paying out, I assume this will take over a month or two, we will have to continue relying on donations to support the site.

    I never run adblock so I'm already doing my part for the future whenever I visit, I should probably start watching some more dubs too......

    I also find it ironic in a bad way that there is a bloody ad for CR in that second pic.

    CR subscription is only practical for watching subs, imo. So that doesn't bother me much.

    if you are running fire fox and use ad block, even when disabled it can still cause ads not to appear. This could maybe apply to other web browsers to.

    I even tried it with ad block uninstalled. Still did not work.

    I'm running Chrome and as far as I know that has not happened.

    @RodRule

    hmm that is odd then, i also have chrome with add block on and can disable it for DT , there could be a number of reasons why ads arnt showing for you (antiviruses can block adds, peerblock etc) , im sure its not a major issue that will effect any other member / mebers

    I had to whitelist the site with ghostery as well, but i can see ads on chrome.

    Ghostery is another form of adblocker. Though it does other stuff like block widgets and trackers too.

    You're better off adding the site to your ad blockers exceptions list instead of just turning it off. Which adblocker specifically are you using?

    Go to chrome://extensions/ on your browser. Then options under adblock plus, customize, then show ads on a web page or domain and enter http://www.dubtopia.eu/

    Tested it myself, works perfectly.

    As of now all forum ads have been replaced with responsive ads, users may find that ad sizes have been increased in size. This is merely because of how the responsive ads work, ad sizes change based on the users screen resolution, hence why they are called responsive ads.

    Thank you for that, they were getting annoying because I never use fullscreen so the ads were taking up more than half of my profile display functions, to me the ads got smaller so this is great news.
    Things are back to the usual display now.

    Hahahaha, love the reactions! Also, can we put Adblock on for Putlocker? Or will it still not work? I seem to remember one of the reasons I turned Adblock off for Putlocker was because it didn't allow me to watch the videos..

    Also, just to update everyone. I've moved on to Russian apparently...
