Read the manga, latest chapter fucking ruined me emotionally but it gives a better understanding of the characters. Mei is a hen, Matsuri did nothing wrong and is right about everything, Yuzu is a miracle of the universe, and Harumin is best girl.

 

It's pretty much flown under the radar of everyone, so don't expect subs. I think they might just post and episode on Youtube here and there.

As a person whos' read the manga I'll break it down for you.

• Mei is a defrosting ice queen
• Matsuri is only clingy for 1 volume
• Yuzu tends to blame herself whenever her and Mei have a fallout
• Harumin is indeed best girl

Get ready for the worst part of Citrus now, the adaptation of Volume 4

 

Yeah Volume 4 is regarded as the worst volume because of the sheer stupidity of everyone. The christmas sex was both their faults, Yuzu for pussing out, and Mei for sending mixed messages, you find out later they both wanted to do it, but Yuzu was scared n shit. There are more male characters in the manga.

Just wait for Tachibanakan to air in a few week, that'll really get your noggin joggin.

 

Like I said Volume 4 is the worst volume because both Yuzu and Mei act like retards. Yuzu for rejecting Mei initially, and Mei for everything else that follows. Sara and Nina thankfully don't appear outside of Volume 4 anyway. The manga is pretty shit at the moment anyway.

So there was a male character introduced a little after Volume 4, and he's revealed to be Mei's fiancee. At this point Mei and Yuzu are a couple until now. Because if you thought Mei couldn't become worse? Boy I've got some news for you. Latest chapter has her breaking up with Yuzu via a letter, and that because of Yuzu helping her forge her own path, she decides to dump Yuzu to marry her fiancee and take over the school, and that Yuzu is not allowed to contact her anymore, she moved back into their grandfather's house and is now basically homeschooled. Apart from this, Mei also reveals to Yuzu that Mei told her mum and told her to keep a hush hush about it. The chapter ends with an implication that Yuzu cries herself to sleep every night since Mei left. Since the author has done this now, there's no way to really redeem Mei, because everyone who reads the manga knows she's a hen and Matsuri was right all along about Mei. Well I lie anyway, the only way for Mei to be redeemed and have just an inch of character development, is to have Mei find Yuzu by herself, if Yuzu comes to Mei then the author has has wasted her time with this.

The biggest problem I have with this manga apart from the drama is that we really never get an inside look as to how Mei really feels about Yuzu until what happens in the spoiler. I get why at the start, she was a closed individual and as such we get no look into her feelings until she defrosts as she is an ice queen. But I feel at this point we should've had at least 1 chapter from Mei's POV, now granted that'll more than likely be the next chapter, but if the author wants us to not think Mei is a gigantic autist, she should've done it a bit earlier.

tl;dr Volume 4 sucks, Mei is an autist, and here's why I hate Citrus, also the manga is gonna end in heart pounding hardcore sex lmao

Oh no don't worry I know it's trash, but I read the manga too, so it's double the pain.

It's a short, the animation studio only does shorts, also there's only like 20 chapters out.

Also please add Happy Sugar Life and YagaKimi to your Yuri lists too. Happy Sugar Life just got announced for an anime, and it's basically "What if Rena from Higurashi was actually a Yandere and managed to successfully take someone home?"

The last 4 words summarise why. Also Tachibanakan released, it's 3 fucking minutes long and covers half of chapter 1. And the LoGH released, and I fucking hate it.

 

@Supernatural-Knight Yea alot have been on hold, been to lazy/busy to do any of them. Death March was known as one of the better isekai anime with lots of people loving it, saying its better than SAO. The reason i made the little thing was because the show was trash and i cant understand why people liked it, there were enjoyable parts, yes, but what anime doesn't have at least one enjoyable part?

 

Whoops looks like I'm watching Aikatsu Friends now.

Who the fuck is saying that, the general consensus is that it's a pile of shit that looked shit.

Welcome back. Don't bother tbh, just find some other shit to watch this season, I for one, recommend Comic Girls.

It's a beautiful trend isn't it? I hope @Supernatural-Knight is enjoying them because they're all shorts.

Btw on topic, Aikatsu Friends is meidocre, 60 episodes to go.

I even tell my buddies that it's just an anime, and then get surprised to see anything that's from hentai, yet it's not hentai, had to explain them what Smut was

On a scale of 1-100, how much would you rate it? And why is it worst than *Insert bad anime here*

 

Dunno tbh, this is my first dive into the Aikatsu franchise and probably my last, I'm pretty only watching it cause Mai Nakahara actually managed to land a semi-secure role in this. Bit bothered by the fact that they made the tomatoes square.
