Music Video of the Week (10th)

Uncontested, Vladnyx's video moves on without the need of a poll for week 9.

As for the poll for week 8, we had a tie. I waited too long, and ended up forgetting to vote until after the poll closed. so, these two tie:

I was mixed on these anyway, since a music video does not solely rely on music.
I had seen the Gunship one before, and I considered the visuals amazing. But in terms of music, I preferred Winding Road more, maybe because it felt more... lively? Wrong word, I think. But since the visuals were pretty slow, it was difficult to make a vote for it.
So for my preference, while Gunship had better visuals, Winding Road had better audio. If Vladnyx and HMriz wish, they can reuse these videos for another round, since both won. Or lost. Or simultaneously won and lost.

Let's get this week nomination thread started: Choose your videos, share them with the rest of us, and nominate 'em!

Spoiler: RULES

1. Only one nomination per member, but they can be replaced at will as long as it is done before Friday (I will be lenient within reason on the time, but know that I go by EST and other stand-ins may vary greatly).
2. However nominations can be cast all the way up Saturday, when the poll is made up.
3. The number of nominations, I want to keep at a manageable size, but still leave room for many nominations. So it may vary (and I'll let you know if and when I decide to change it), but the "standard" I will keep at 8.
4. Since there will be more room for more nominations, we can keep the discussions more in the polls rather than here. I want people to feel a little more relaxed that their nominations wont slip through the cracks as quickly.
5. Given the time-frame of each nomination, ones exceeding the limit of 8 will simply carry over to the next round (provided the club member decides they want to re-enter it).
6. If I am absent for any reason, I will allow anyone to continue the thread progression (in usual fashion) provided it is at least a full day late.

Rather repetitive..........but i like the guitar!! Didn't think you'd go for alt country/rock

 

You must've dreamed a thousand dreams. You've already got my vote for this. Great song & video. I can't even count the number of years it's been since I saw this last.

Genesis is lit!! Wait...... I just typed the word I promised I would never ever use....LIT!!!! Why people say lit i will never know. My generation's lexicon makes this video look normal!!! Really though, Genesis is classic!!

 

It is repetitive though in a good way. Catchy beat, good guitar, vocals not bad, I can dig it. You can grasp the lifestyle & place yourself in those shoes. For some odd reason or another this connected with me. Typically I'd never ever ever listen to anything country related but this I like. And you'll see strange picks outta me from time to time. I find that makes these Music Video's of the Week that much more fun.​

 

What types of music do you normally listen to?

 

Typically Synthwave, Eurobeat, Techno, Rock, Alt Rock, Indie, Metal, some Dubstep, and Trance. ​

 

I'm a little different: Soul, Hard/Classic Rock, Doo Wop, 50's-80's R&B, Folk, 90's-00's JRock-Jpop, Jazz, and OPM (@Noobs will know what I mean, I grew up with Filipino friends and neighbors)

Only have listened to Rivermaya from your list. Mainly Regine Velasquez, Siakol, Eraserheads, and sometimes Gloc-9. I have to say that Eraserheads is probably my favorite OPM band because they remind of Mr.Children, which is my favorite Jpop/Rock group.
