Irene saw Arc get pinned before her eyes and silently reached a hand back to Fluff. The phoenix-like creature dispersed into a green mist, absorbing into Irene's palm. She brought a finger to the other palm and began curving various shapes, each burning into her skin. Upon finishing her mess of curls and lines, she formed a fist with the hand whom had been drawn on, an aggressive gust of wind seemed to emit outwards in a wide radius from her, before opening back the hand. She gently got to her knees and placed the rune'd hand onto Arc, a fever-like sensation running through his body as the world around them melted away.

It quickly came back into focus as they free-fell centimetres from the roof of the lab complex, plumetting towards the ground. At that moment, all she could do was scream.

As the crew of the Albatross discussed their plan five lazers pointed at the ship, they immediately notice and looked in the direction.
"Well what do we have here? We aren't in restricted waters so.."
"Means we have a fool trying to show their teeth" Frost yawned while forming Ice claws "Need I freeze that ship?"
"Nah let Echo hand this one, Lad have fun with a few warning shots but don't sink the ship or kill them" Atlas said as walking to the front of the ship, "Don't they know shooting an Albatross means bad luck for a sailor? Especially this one!" He puffed out his chest while talking to himself.
Echo nodded while pulling out a strange headset and placing it on his head. It looked like an old helicopter headset, but when placed on his head a digital visor appeared flashing a constant stream of data before his eyes. Several different barrels and tech parts started to float around him before merging with his arm and gun, forming what looked like a rail rifle. Echo then zeroed in on the boat and the source of the green lasers.
"Well damn you're an ugly one.... hopefully you'll get the message to back off!" Echo pulled the trigger aiming at the side of the boat, and the sound of arterial firing shook the ship. the 9mm bullet rocketed at over 7x the speed of sound toward the ship. The bullet itself didn't even dent the hull however a burst of sound shattered the glass of the ship and buckled the hull popping most of the bolts off, if any human was alive on the ship they would be deaf and knocked out now. Echo smiled as he moved slightly up and to the right, aiming at the source of the lasers the beasts eye. He pulled the trigger again, another bullet sent rocketing with a massive burst of sound waiting to damage the moment the bullet connected. I wonder if i go all out how soon before that ship is in pieces?
"Gotta love sonic rail shots. Can control the size, effectiveness, range of it and all it needs is a medium"

Arc's dazed state vanished after a moment, only to be replaced by the feeling of free-fall. Falling in sync with him was Irene, and looked terrified. Trying to get his bearings, but knowing nothing on how he got in or how to get out this situation, he realized the most he could do was minimize damages. He grabbed Irene, and pulled her close, ready to take the impact for himself.
"Listen! Loosen up! You'll feel better!"
Arc felt the wind rush past his head, causing him to realize his helmet was now gone, exposing his head to the concrete ground below.
Aw, crap. This is going to suck.
Only when they were ten feet above the ground, did something happen.
    "AUTO-SAVE ACTIVE"
The vectoring nozzles across his body suddenly activated, balancing Arc in midair and slowing him to a safe landing on the ground. Surprised by this unexpected fortune, he did not let go of Irene upon landing.
    "...What just happened?"

The first shot did little to Hexen. So little, in fact, Echo was able to take a second shot at the un-moving Hexen. The bullet smashed into his metal visor, exploding with a thunderous boom. Hexen's head snapped back, his spine snapping and killing his hearing. After a few moments, he gripped his head and pushed it, snapping his grotesquely snapped neck into place. This was only possible due to his central nervous system not being located in his spine. Looking at his target, he laughed at their effort. His body remained mostly undamaged, even his visor. Unlike the yacht that was built for a pampered corporate business owner, Hexen's gear was designed for the abuse of a demon and his missions. He took aim with the railgun, pointing at the center of the Albatross, and the rectangular barrel slid open. Red and black electricity crackled, and the 50 kilo slug launched from the cannon. Going at Mach 9, the slug shot over the water to the doomed Albatross. Water flew into the air a hundred feet, thanks to the fifty-foot shock wave of the slug. This shock wave could tear apart a target, even if the slug missed. The air friction heated the slug, making it glow with the heat. In moments, it reached the Albatross.
And it passed the Albatross, splashing water all over the crew, doing no harm. It flew too high and to the left.

    "What?"
Echo's bullet to Hexen's visor had disrupted the calibration. With much anger, Hexen tore the floor boards and used them as a shield, accessing the calibration functions of his railgun. There, he saw it was off balance and engaged the calibration mode.
    "Calibrating..."
    "Hurry up!"

    Some time later...
In Mexico, a farmer had finished his day of work. Sitting on his porch, he looked at his fields and cattle.
    Bueno.
Today was pretty good. His prize cow won the contest, and he happily stared at her. But at that moment, something streaked by and pounded into the ground where the cow stood. When the dust settled, there was no cow, only a crater. The farmer jumped up in shock, before yelling in disappointment and dismay.
    "No bueno! No bueno! Nooooooo!"

Irene had her arms wrapped around Arc in what could only be described as an iron grip. She struggled to stop herself from shaking and had also started crying during their decent. "I... I... T-that wasn't meant to h-happen," she manage in between sobbing, "I'm s-so sorry!" She began audibly crying again, the air around them rippling gently, almost as if waves on a beach.

As the water crashed into the ship it drenched Frost Echo and Atlas. Frost quickly froze the water covering her and concentrated it into an iceball, leaving her completely dry but her friends still soaked.
"All right sink him, seems he didn't take the hint" Atlas grumpy said while grabbing a towel
"Gotta, hope you can swim better than you shoot!' Echo began firing one shot after another at the ship. Each hit rocked the ship while poping hull, bolts and framework of the ship. When he emptied his first mag he saw the ship rapidly sinking, He loaded the second mag and concentrated fire on beast, now using a piece of deck as a shield.
"How long can that hold out i wonder? More importantly how accurate can you be with a stream of rail shots constantly hitting you!" Echo had a cocky grin while unloading on the beast shield, it was a matter of a few bullets before the shield would break. Echo readied a third mag for firing just as the second was about to empty.
Frost shook her head before speaking "You are enjoying this you know that right?"

Arc awkwardly patted the crying Irene.
"It's alright. You did just fine. If you didn't do this, I would have been caught or dead by now."
He tried getting up, but the iron hug was too tight for for him to use his arms to get up.
"Could you let go? I need my arms."

Violet dropped down in the dinghy and slumped in depression, letting go of the BFG.

"All that power, but I could do nothing. What is the point then?"
She could have blamed the other people in the group for leaving him, but with Arc giving the permission to leave, she could not blame them. Shaking, her eyes began to water as she looked away from everyone.
    "That idiot..."
At that moment, a the echo of a sound barrier being broken roared out. Looking up, her enhanced vision noticed the water being thrown into the air, with a glowing streak tearing out of sight.
    "What was that?"

Hexen did not feel like swimming, but it was apparent he had no other choice. Before the ship could sink, he slammed his makeshift into the deck, using it as a cover to hide himself. In the place he stood, he cut out hole in the deck, allowing himself to drop down into the sinking yacht's hull as it filled with water. His vision allowed him to maintain a lock on his target, without even having to see the targets, as he found a vantage point in the front of the hull. To disrupt Echo's aiming. Hiding behind the hull's barrier, he went through the menus of the railgun as it finished calibrating, spotting various ammo types his slugs could use, thanks to a universal ammo system to the weapon. After selecting a new ammo instead of the basic slug, the calibration was completed. Wasting no time, he charged and fired one last shot before sinking into the waters with the yacht.
This time, there was nothing to thwart Hexen's shot. The slug punched through the wall before the shock wave tore it wide open, utterly dooming the yacht. The slug flew through the air, and a hundred yards from the target, it exploded, creating a blinding flash while simultaneously scattering chaff all over the area. A wave of heat from the intense flash washed over the Albatross, plopping a generally harmless burning core onto the deck of the boat.

    Time to go back...

Irene slowly loosened her grip, her hand no longer having the burnt markings from her previous spell. She nodded, her sobbing coming to an end.

Leah looked up at the mask figure and nodded. She was doing all she could to stay calm. So much was happening all at once. Hopefully they will soon be out of the situation they were in and soon be somewhere safe. She kept ducked down on the boat and out of harms way all the while, trying to keep calm.

    OOT sorry for short post

While the firefight at sea was going on, Claus watched silently through the scope of his sniper rifle.
"I can't tell who either side is or what their intentions are, but I think that giant abomination of nature over there can be safely classified as 'hostile' at the very least. So who's on the other side? More escaped test subjects? Who knows, but I'd rather not get close enough to find out."
He kept looking back and forth between the two vessels, watching them trade blows until finally it seemed the battle was decided. Both vessels had taken severe damage and would likely sink before long. Claus lowered his rifle and turned to the others.
"You're probably wondering what's happening out there and I have some good news on that front. We couldn't have hoped for a better outcome. Both sides have crippled each others' ships, so our way out should be relatively clear."
He now turned to Bran in particular, since he was driving the dinghy.
"The wisest course of action would be to leave them to their fates. The sooner we get away from these islands, the better. Unless..."
He gave Bran a stern look...which, again, wouldn't be seen through the mask.
"Please tell me you're not going to try to play hero and rescue the group that was fighting that giant creature. I'll say it again for emphasis. We really need to leave as soon as possible."

Arc got up, still dizzy from having a boat land on him.
"Something happened, gotta look it up."
He pulled out his manual, and began looking through it for the "Mobility" section. After finding the page, he began to read it. He already knew he was faster than the average human, but he wanted to know what the exhaust ports added to his body was for, and how to use them. They already saved him.
"It must be a boost dash system."
What he found was more than that. His eyes widened in surprise at what his manual showed him. Accessing his menus, he scrolled and accessed other menus. Upon completion, he tested it by willing a feeling of propulsion from his body. As he did so, the ports glowed blue and began raising him into the air before he began testing it out by strafing side to side.
"I think we just might have a way off! Care for a ride?"

Irene shrugged, cleaning the remaining tears off her face. Two constantly shifting, gaseous wings seemed to 'form' out of her upper back and did what would be impossible - lifting her up in their ever-shifting form. "I can follow."

"In that case, try to keep up!"
Arc began propelling himself, looking behind himself as he did so. Being off balance because of this, he bounced off the wall before looking ahead and reorienting himself. He willed more power to his thrusters, and in a few moments, had already hit a speed of 120 MPH and had reached an altitude of 1,500 feet above sea level. Looking down at the water, he searched for the dinghy. Thanks to the loss of his helmet, his peripheral functions like radar and map were gone. After a little while, he spotted it, but it was not the only boat he saw. Staying in the cover of low-altitude clouds, he looked down at the Albatross.
I'll keep an eye out from up here and see what happens.
Focusing his sight, his vision zoomed in on the group on top of the Albatross. Two men, with one holding a weapon of sorts, and a woman.

OoT: We had a slight boo boo, The Albatross isn't sunk just surrounded by chaft at the moment so now on with the post

As the shell exploded Atlas and Frost recoiled by the bright light, Echo's visor shuttered as the chaff began to cause minor interference with his powers. Clicking his tongue he disassembles his weapon back into the regular pistol.
"Tsk well looks like damn thing has options besides 'destroy', Well at the very least that's taken care of, and I won't have to deploy that jamming because of the chaff" Echo began walking back to cabin of the ship before Atlas stopped him.
"Lad, do it right, we don't know if this old stuff would even work. Now get to it!" Atlas growled at Echo. He nodded and began work on a jammer.
As the wave of heat hit them Frost gently blew a kiss, instantly cooling the area.

As Bran continued steering the boat as the others spoke, he was focused on getting them as far away from there as possible.
He looked over and saw a long ship in the distance. It was at that time the dingys compass, and navigation went haywire, spinning rapidly and out of control. He immediately stopped and spoke up.
"What the hell?! What's going on? I can't tell which way we are going now" Bran said with concern. without know what direction they were heading they very well could wander in circles till they ran out of gas, if that happened...
Bran sighed before turning the dingy toward the ship. "If we wander aimlessly we could be in big trouble, that ship may be able to help so it them or back to that island. I think i can speak for everyone the ship is at least worth a shot"

"Atlas, we got incoming. It must of worked" Frost causally said while perched out of sight. Atlas walked to the side of the ship and shouted to the dingy.
"Ahoy! what seems to be the problem?" startled by the quick greeting bran spoke "uhh Ahoy, uhh seems something is causing our ship act funny, care to lend a hand or at least directions to nearest town?" Hook line and sinker, time to get to the bottom of this Atlas then threw them a roped tied to a life preserver.
"Tie off your ship and climb aboard one at a time, I'll see what i can do in way of helping you" Bran tied the ship and was the first to climb up. The man whose voice he heard was a very muscular Mediterranean man, his skin tanned but covered with various lighter scars and his hair was salt and peppered. He sternly looked on before speaking. "Now boyo, time we had a little chat" He said while cracking his knuckles "What exactly are you doing, the truth this time as a patrolman as armed as you and your escort can't simply be lost, right?" Bran was confused at what the man said until he looked at what he was wearing, the old uniform he stole from one of the guards. From someone else's perspective he would look like a laid back guard, it then hit him. Wait if he knows there is more than just me off the bat.... he's been watching us... Do we lie or tell the truth?

Violet grudgingly climbed from the dinghy onto the Albatross, carrying the BFG 3000 on her back with her tentacles as she climbed the ladder. She still worried about Arc.
He's probably dead by now. Or if they captured him, they might program him into a cyborg soldier.
Getting onto the deck, she stood behind Bran, looking around with a depressed yet angry expression. Her tentacles pulled the BFG out from behind her and rested it against the floor by her side. She answered the question, not wanting to play around.
"We are not here to play games. We are just getting off this island. If you can help us bring about our goal in a desirable way, we shall comply. If not, we would be more than happy to tear through all of you to accomplish what we have set out to do."
Violet's tentacles waved slowly in the air, ready to act on anything to happen. She made fists and relaxed them rhythmically.
"If you need to call me something, call me Grey Death."

OOT: So I kinda messed up in my last post. I read Core's post wrong and thought that the Albatross got hit. That obviously wasn't the case, so just pretend that last post didn't happen. Claus watched the battle happen through his scope, but he didn't say anything about it.

When Claus climbed aboard the boat, he heard Violet more or less threatening the captain and shook his head.
"Subtlety is not your strong suit, is it? I would've at least tried to get a little more information before resorting to threats."
He shrugged and looked to the captain.
"Well, you heard the lady. If you help us get off of this island, we won't cause any trouble. If you're working for the laboratory and you even think about trying to take us back, we'll have to go through the trouble of throwing your corpses overboard and we'd really rather not, it's been quite a long day already."
He glanced over to Leah, wanting to make sure she got to the boat safely.
"Her survival in particular is absolutely essential, though they don't need to know that."

As Violet and Claus spoke bran almost instinctively began pulling hi hair out. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!?!?! Where the hell is masato when you need him, even he has enough sense to threaten a boat you JUST boarded! Bran decided to stop and try to get things cleared out.
"Hey listen these two here they jus-" "Bahahahahahahahaaaa" Atlas interrupted Bran with uproarious laughter and snapping his knee. Bran looked on in horror as he was confused at the situation. Wiping a tear from his eye Atlas the turned and spoke.
"Ahhhh ya gave me a good laugh the both of you, the lack of manner and brass on you both is something I tell you what" His laughing tone turned to one of a more serious one.
"Well you both went and spilled the beans without gaining any info in return, expecting brute force to get your way. Hate to tell you both but that only works IF you can back those up, and ya can't. Well not against the likes of me, the name's William Hardt but call me Atlas. I share a certain quality with another of the same name, so your paper mache armor and plasma night light aren't too much of a worry for me. I take it you have never had anything survive it if you are leading with those *Yawn*" He closed his eyes and gave a half smile.
Atlas knew exactly what their equipment was only thanks to echo's scouting and now scan of them while on the ship. He kepted a constant check on them while Frost sat overlooking them waiting for any hostile movement.
"Now as far as helping seeing as you weren't none to friendly think I'll ask for payment of some kind..... Huh wait wasn't there four of you? Where is the girl?"
While Bran became concerned the more Atlas spoke it finally dawned on him that no one had helped Leah. Bran turned back and spoke to leah
"Hey do you need help? I don't trust this guy but i think he might be able to help us, Here I'll climb down to get you" Bran turned to Atlas and spoke "Don't be rash i'm just gonna help her if she needs it

Backstory: Was a victim in a car crash that left them in critical condition and while at the hospital was found to have an inability to accept transfusions from the hospital stores and no blood type was compatible. In desperation the doctor in charge of her care called an emergency government number and the patient was taken away in an unmarked helicopter. Once in the clutches of the shadowy government agency, the patient was subjected to a blood transfusion of an unknown type from a curios vial found in an ancient ruin. The blood took in the patient's body and they were changed by this and granted limited memories of the original being whose blood it was.

"Atlas, like the Titan from Greek mythology...he must have some kind of strength-enhancing ability. I wonder if the others on this ship have abilities as well, but it might look suspicious if I were to check on that right now. At the very least, it seems that they're willing to work with us for the moment and I suppose "that beggars can't be choosers," as the old saying goes."
After taking a moment to assess the situation in his mind, he looked to Atlas.
"In all fairness, brute force wouldn't have been my first choice, I was just following her lead."
He made a slight motion towards Violet.
"Sometimes you just have to roll with the punches, you know? But since it seems we're not going to be at each others' throats, I suppose introductions are in order, after all. My name is Claus. I don't have any fancy nicknames."
When Bran mentioned helping Leah, Claus looked over to her as well.
"Why is she still on the boat...? Her nerves must be getting the best of her. How ironic that the most powerful one among us is also the most easily frightened."
