I haven't watched an anime in two years.


That changes TODAY!!!

I'm going to pick something highly regarded that I haven't watched yet and rejoin the flock.

 

What was the reason?

 

I have to admit, I don't know what to recommend you. I seem to remember the last time we had a discussion about anime, you had pretty much seen most stuff I have. Unless you check out MAL and can tell me what you haven't seen?

 

I haven't watched anime in a couple years either.

I decided to go back to my roots and reach back and watch something I know will appeal to my taste. Star Blazers 2199, let's get that super battleship space drama started. It's only subbed but it looks like it got a fresh coat of paint compared to it's 80's counterpart. That's fine too, I wanted something that resembled the very first anime that got me into anime, Robotech. I think I picked the perfect anime to restart the flame that got me into this in the first place.
I'm so smart.
Two episodes in, I can feel the old school love already. Hallelujah!

I think that it might be a good thing that you haven't watched any anime in two years. Think about all the positives you will have lots of anime to choose from, you will enjoy it more because you haven't watched any in a while and uhhh other other reasons I can't think of right now.

If I could I would probably do the same the only problem is that the most amusing thing I know is anime it's the only thing I laugh at or tear up over. The only thing that can give me goosebumps. So if I stopped I would go back to feeling numb. But if you don't have that problem then hurray for you Mr satisfied with life .

 

More seriously

If you watch subs then you stopped at the right time cause many classics came out in 2014 but not that much from 2015 and 2016 except for new seasons of older shows. The show I rated the highest from 2016 that isn't a OVA is Dagashi Kashi, which is good but not a classic or anything. From 2015 its Snow White with the Red Hair, which is tied for highest rating of the year from me with a hentai. So yeah, nothing you need to watch. Then again I only watch dubs and there was probably some great shows from that time period that didn't get dubbed.

If you watch dub only then you missed a bunch of great shows that the dub version came out in the last two years.

 

Does that mean you only watch dubbed hentai?

Damn! Judging by the last few posts, I'd wonder how y'all would react if the guy said he hasn't watched any anime in the last TWO minutes. Hey @Doomguy, maybe you shoulda kept that to yourself. Just saying.

 

I wanted to see this thread burn in red hot anger. Directed at me with the full fury of executioner @VeritasOdiumParit, the disappointment of @Supernatural-Knight who was indignantly called Supernormal-Squire. I wanted to see @Heizengard try to save me with a Hentai life jacket but I didn't join him in that crusade. I wanted to see the smug faced @Teknoman X put me down and shame me publicly for my indiscretion. I wanted to see @AngeloDaniele try to medically solve my horrible behavior with sound advice. I wanted to see @KnowMeFrom cast me away from the flock and admit the end is near but still try to save my soul. And I wanted to watch @Ddos_Dragon prepare the fire pit where my sacrifice to the anime gods will take place.

I do this for you. All of you. Remember me not as the guy who spread good cheer and wise words but the guy who turned away from the many faced anime god and proclaimed himself the embodiment of sin.
