Feedback New Years '17 Feedback

Vr. 3.0.5 Huge Changes:

• Background changed from a tinted blue to an original gray background.
• White Text on hover in blue areas.
• Changed Navigation from gray to blue.
• Main Borders are now more brighter.

Thanks to the feedback from Saysut, I think now all themes will now look great because if it stayed the way it was it would be just like how wut said the old blue background will be poo poo for other themes if I changed it to green, red, orange or purple. lol

 

The window "Trophies Awarded to *Person*" on the profile page is transparent and maybe hard to see to certain people.

Has a much nicer look now, not that it didn't before don't get me wrong. The brighter background at the top ( where the logo is ) is much better, it gets the eyes to look there, then the user can easily see the bottom navigation is (

The "section" area now look much more defined, and can be seen with the eyes with much more clarity. Sections and then the corresponding threads are again easier to see, they no longer fade into the background. The overlay is much better with the white text change, makes for a very good contrast now.
I haven't of course extensively checked for bugs or anything, I was merely trying to approach it from a "new user" type of view as its imperative they know clearly and concisely where sections and threads are. Overall this is much better, well the last theme was still great so this is outstanding since this is a new update ill let some of my random guini pigs see the forum. ( theyl no nothing about the forum or what it entails )

Can we maybe reverse this?



Cause this order I dont know bugs me I rather my darker shade on top and my lighter shade at bottom?

cause to me that space between the JAN JUSTDUBS etc feels empty a bit....

also were is my Rainbow colored theme!!!

 

After I ported Reviewer I took a break eating and playing games now I'm tired once I wake I'll go crazy to port the other two themes, they should be out by tonight or whenever I wake up it's 9am cst for me as of the writing.
I'll fix that when I wake up eyes hurt haha.

Oh, the logo will change depending on the theme like before, the blue diamond on Reviewer is a temporary one.

And what I mean is I feel that the space between the top of my browser and the JAN JUSTDUBS header feels empty like my soul ...... I just dont like the space between it.... but maybe thats just me?

What I would prefer would be to have the JAN JUSTDUBS link header on top and my Cpt_K3nny alert and mailing at the bottom...... I dont know if I am making it clear or not... let me know if I am not and I will just give up on life itself just kidding

and I dont mind it when you initially get to the page I just dont like it when I scroll down i guess its what I am saying...

 

i am liking the new theme of the site however the lack of visible mascots at the main forums page is off getting used to.

 

I really like the reviewer theme. My only complaint is can we get the appropriate mascot showing for the theme vs a color cutout? I think that would add a little more flare to each theme in general as well. And for the regular default theme have all three girls showcased together perhaps.

Other note I have is I personal still think the green font for the text at the top is to light a color in contrast to the background for

If it were say the darker green of the Information & Updates it would all show through better and also match with that shade of green. I mean I could be entirely wrong and there the same shade of green, but to my eyes they look a different tint from one another.​

 

screenshots and I'll think of something as having full renders of the mascots is bad thing to keep unknown users from taking them.

 

Major Change! - 3.1.0

• Header has been decreased back to somewhat it's original size.
• Logo has be reverted back to it's original 2.0 state.
• Userbar has been reverted back to it's original 2.0 state.
• Searchbar Bug has been fixed.
• Navigation background has been set a bit darken to see the text.
• Removed Midori silhouette from the night cycle.

Since you all loved 2.0 I decided to bring back some of it's design aspect to Reviewer (JAN theme needs the update.) I do hope that you love this change.

 

Understand and respect that decision. ​

 

Would be awesome to have a mascot leaning on the JAN brand name from behind, as if they would be leaning over a table or counter with their arms folded over each other. If you have a mascot with that pose, I think it would help with keeping the mascots public, without someone trying to swipe them for their own uses, and it would make a tasteful watermark.

 

Refuge Released!

 

I may like the Refuge even more than the Reviewer. Maybe, still need to get a feel for that color change.​

 

Green is my favourite, but heck, that red theme looks amazing, you got me considering switching for a while.

3.1.1 - Update

• Changed navigation bar color to match the logo.
• Increased header size and aligned logo in the center.

 

May need to update the Members Online "registered user" colors to match the new themes (Refuge and Reviewer in particular). It looks like you might have it set, but forgot to update it for the Members Online section. Purple (or whatever #9C9CEC is) seems out of place for Green and Red themes.

 

Could the default text be returned to theme-matching colors? It is rather hard on the eyes if you read a wall of text post, leaves after-image lines on your eyes afterward.
